This board served me well in terms of answering my questions and also leading me to my car via FerrariAds. I bought UnderPSI's 2000 360 from him; we finalized the deal on Wednesday and it was shipped to CA in two days.

Car arrived a little dusty but the paintwork is immaculate, car looks months, not years old. Yesterday was spent detailing and replacing the wheels with the 19" HRE597R's polished not chromed but still a little too shiny for me - thinking of getting the centers powder coated titanium), today I went for my first drive.

Impressions relative to the 997S which preceded it - steering is more alive, suspension feels as stiff as the 997S in sport mode but not as nervous (my RE050 tires probably don't help as they have very stiff sidewalls), sound with the Capristo is amazing, and I guess I'll have to get used to the attention even in Millionaires Marin County (4 camera phone pics already). Can't comment on the performance yet, tires and driver are brand new ;)

Some pics from Nicasio, bit overcast today but quite nice.

Need to stick the shields on that UnderPSI sent with the car :)

    Congrats on the purchase!!!!!

The lines on the car without the badges looks really clean. I am a big fan of badges, but I might abstain with the silver, looks great!!!! "Badges, we don't need no stinking badges!!!".

I would look into getting the wheels painted rather than powder coated. A friend of mine owns a performance shop and he says that powder coating can decrease the strength of the wheels.

Good point, I think there was some discussion on this but the jury was out regarding the temps they use? Definitely something to think about though.

Congrats! Look forward to seeing you around in Marin! I have a grigio 360 spider, the two would look amazing one next to the other.

I didn't notice at first that the car has the challenge grill on the back. I've been considering trying to replace my spider's rear grill with a challenge but I've been worrying that the Grigio wouldn't look good with the black grill. I've changed my mind now! It looks amazing. Any other photos of the rear you can post? Better yet, since we are both in Marin, I'd love a look at it.

PS: I haven't been up by Nicasio in a long time, but looks like a great spot to take photos and I assume taking the car out for a drive in the back-Marin hills.

    Laurence,

Do you plan to attend Concorso Italiano this year? I'd love the opportunity to meet you face to face and see the car again.

Fantastic car. That color will always have a special place in my heart because that was the color of the first (and only, but not last!) Ferrari I drove at the sweet age of 16. (Not a real drive, more of a parking lot deal.)

Thanks, you are welcome to come see the car any time; I'm in San Rafael. PM me your e-mail, I can send some big pics too.

For anyone in the area - there are some great driving roads around Nicasio. I take Lucas Valley Road out from 101, then go around the reservoir to Pt Reyes and onto Hwy 1 either South to Stinson or North to Bodega Bay, all great roads, particularly since they resurfaced Hwy 1 from Stinson almost to Tam Junction.
