I hope this is not repost.
2006 is 30 years anniversary that CORNES & Co.Ltd which is an official importer of Ferrari in Japan started importing Ferrari.

For this anniversary, only 30 612 Special Edition will be sold.
    http://www.cornes.co.jp/news/2006/ju...jun/index.html

As I read that article, the engine performance is same, and several special interior and body color.
Body color is "BLU CORNES" which is special for this car.
Special Meshed Grill, Carbon fuel cover, blue caliper, painted under body, and etc.

    I hope you enjoy this.

Cornes is the company that is the Ferrari (and Maserati and Rolls and Fiat and Alfa R) importing business in Japan. They are also into a heckuvalot of other things.. agricultural & industrial machinery, electronic devices, insurance...

    http://www.cornes.co.jp/motor/e-motor01.html

Blue is their corporate colour, hence 'Blu Cornes'.

Sort of seems like it might be most appropriate for the board members of Cornes and a few friends.

Do people drive their Ferraris much in Japan like they do here (in some places) or like they do in Europe? I don't recall seeing any when I was there a few times back in the mid 90s. I did see a few Lancias and Alfas though.

    The interior colors are very....unique.

If it had an all "Blue Cornes" interior it would look better, IMO.

    Hello,

I do not think people drive Ferraris in Japan like other countries.
Roads are very narrow, and traffic everywhere especially at Tokyo.

Med 90s, the economy was really bad in Japan, so I did not see Ferraris either, but recently I can see 355 or 360 once a day at Tokyo.

Very Interesting. I also think a small custom run is being done for the Swiss importer.

This great looking 612 series seems to have vanished into collections. Have any traded since they were introduced? Beautiful color combination and details on this special 612 series. Is a special run of the 599 model being developed to?
