Going up to Waco this morning to pick up some new wheels for my Jeep, my son spotted a set of exotic cars sitting for sale on the side of IH-35. On our way home, we stuck on the frontage road and stopped to take a look. It is not too far south of Waco. This is what we found (sorry, I guess as a noob I cannot post pics):

I hope they don't make anyone ill! And ignore the kid in the pics, that's my son the car buff. Anyhow, I was looking for some possible IDs of these vehicles as well as any info as to what happened to them...

    Cheers! M2

Makes sense, as there were several Fieros in the back of the lot.

So, other than the burnt 308, nothing worth much in the front four?

What a shame with the 308, it would make for sense to just part it out. I wonder if this is the same seller that placed an ad on Craigslist a while back?

It looks like it. I remember seeing a storage facility behind the cars like in the first couple of pics.

Here is one of the photos that you posted in that thread.

Yeah. Good luck actually getting the guy to talk to you. He's "far too busy" for email or phone calls.....whatever.

That looks like my 308 that burned in Grapevine by Red Robin. State Farm totaled it ( appropriately) and I went to a salvage yard south of 183 in Euless to see if I could get the keychain that burned with it (needless to say it was not there). I think the year was 1996...seems like only yesterday.

A few weekends enroute to Round Rock to IKEA we saw only the Kelmark GT sitting out there. There's also a place with older cars which apppear to be in a bit better shape just north of Waco on the west side of I35 - few old VW bugs, Saab Sonnet or Opel GT and quite a few others - never have stopped. Then there's the fairly new auto auction place north of that. Most of the time we go the back way to Waco so we may miss things as they come and go.

Care to share the story? Sorry to bring up any bad memories, but I am curious in the history of this car (if it is your old one)...

    Cheers! M2

Yeah that yellow Kelmark was alone until Thanksgiving weekend. I've driven by it numerous times in the last month or so in my work truck. I was with a dumb@ss coworker who calls it a "Coyote" (??). Ugh. This guy. He's such a BSer. About everything.

The Coyote was a kit car based on the car from some TV show or movie I can't remember. I think the real one from the show/movie is actually on ebay right now...

Here's what a google search got me for an image: http://www.codeoneauto.com/inventory/piecoysm.jpg

The yellow Kelmark doesn't look too awful. Could fix it up with parts from the one next to it if someone really wanted to.

That guy had at one time 4 Panteras. I looked at the black one by the road and he took me out back to look at what he called a donor car. It was the most far gone Pantera I had ever viewed. Sad.

He is a good guy but does development and says he does not have time to show the cars.

I went to Round Rock this past Saturday and I noticed a black perhaps Ferrari parked out there facing the road. The place is just south of Lorena before Bruceville Eddy.

This is funny, i went down to round rock this weekend also and noticed these. I want to say that it was just north of the Woodlawn exit off of 35, on the west side.

The first picture of a yellow car that is not a Kelmark GT is a Manta Mirage. It was a kit car with a tube frame chassis & a Chevy V8 in mid/rear. Kinda Lola Can Am'ish "tribute" car design.

I saw what appeared to be a red Manta or Kelmark headed Eastbound on I-20 Sunday Afternoon. It was strapped to a trailer, of course and looked quite gutted, so it could have been one of these from Waco.

I think I may know someone that might need the rear bumper and other parts to this car. He has a blue one that is close to the same condition.........
