Is it possible that the Cheatriots can go 16-0 this year. Their schedule for the rest of season is horribly weak, actually their entire schedule is weak with the exceptions of the Cowboys and Colts. Do you think it is possible though? I don't, all teams choke at one point and have a bad game.

Possible, deffinately. They are by far the best team in the league, they didn't play that well this weekend and still beat the Colts, who are w/o a doubt the second best team in the league. They have the talent and Belichick is insane enough to go for it. They only possible issues are the Steelers and the Giants week 17, because the Pats will have likely clinched homefield and the Giants may still have something to play for. Now what will be a real shame is when the go 16-0 and then lose to the Colts in the playoffs.

Week 17 will be a rare occasion, I will be rooting for the G-Men. I only root for them when they play the Eagles or when it helps the Cowboys.
Tommy Boy bested Peyton, but can he best the greatest Manning of them all, Eli.

    I will say this.

Anything is possible, can they go undefeated, sure.....will they????

Any team, any given Sunday can rise up and shut them down no matter how weak that team looks.

I don't think they will, but it's definately possible.

Did anyone else hear the rumor today that Brady was going to be suspended for 4 games for testing positive to "drugs"? My friend actually heard this on the radio and told me, but i haven't been able to find anything to back it up.

Even if the schedule is weak for the rest of the season , a few bad calls, a fumble at the wrong time , etc. and you lose the game. It's hard to win them all.

The funny thing is it's not even a record, it's a benchmark.

dont forget that they will not play some of the starters.. Brady for one going into the last week, kinda like the Colts did last season. they dont want to risk injury. so 16-0 MIGHT not happen

    Yes. Possible.

It always amazes me how the old Miami players that hold the record go bonkers when somebody else gets close. If the Pats do go 16-1, they will be accused of cheating their way there (Shula showed his hand and since is backpeddling faster than a member of Nakaima's pit crew).

They may do it, but everybody has a bad game sometime. Better to get it out of the way when it doesn't cost you a chance at the Superbowl. ;)

People say there better than the 85 bears, and its been quoted that Brady is the best QB ever, But I still remember the days of S.F. with Joe Montana, what a machine.

    Go Patriots.

They almost lost it tonight, if Eagles A. Reed wouldn't have called such a bonehead play at about 4:00 min left going for a long inzone TD pass (that turned into an INT. and lost it) and instead of playing conservative, running down the clock and get a TD or at least a FG to tie it......stupid coaching lost it for the Eagles tonight, otherwise the Pats would have been shut down.....

    +1

And no leadership. Eagles QB hanging his head on the sidelines when they still had a chance to win. Losers.

Believe it or not, the Eagles maybe the Pats look like a very average team last night and SHOULD HAVE WON THAT GAME. Once again, would should coulda, but still nobody expected the Iggles to come close to the Pats, 21 point spread I believe. The Eagles have revealed how to beat the Pats and now its up to the Giants, Steelers, or the Fins to beat them.

Just a reminder, when the Ro-monster (aka. Romo the Magnificent) played the Eagles, MONSTER GAME. When Brady played the Eagles, MEDIOCRE GAME.

I now do not think the Pats will go 16-0, they are beatable proven by the Eagles, Colts, and Cowboys(for 3 quarters).

A.J. (Touchy) Feeley played great for 55 minutes, and then ended the game with 2 picks. If he doesn't throw the ball up into the endzone, at least they are in range for a long field goal to tie the game. That's just one of many play calls I didn't like that the Eagles made.

    Are you kidding me!!!!!!!!!!!!???

Eli needs to be benched, I can't stand that whiny sour-puss attitude. He is NO leader and a wanna be in Peyton's shadow.

I thought the sarcasm there was painfully obvious, obviously not.
Eli is as talented as Peyton is missing his right arm. Eli is the Ralf Schumacher of the NFL, riding big brother's name to millions and complete mediocrity.

Reminder: For the draft picks the Giants traded to the Chargers, the Chargers got Shawne Merriman(Pro Bowler and absolute beast), Philip Rivers(Pro Bowler), and Nate Kaeding(Pro Bowler).

I will actually consider rooting for the Giants if they put in Jared Lorezen (aka. The Pillsbury Throwboy, The Hefty Lefty, J.Load, The Abominable Throwman, or The Round Mound of Touchdown) who at 285lbs should be on the O-Line.

To beat the Pats, you simply have to double up on Moss and put serious pressure on Brady....

So simple that no one (including the Boys) has been able to beat them. ;)

I think the Fins will have a chance for a win week 16 against the Pats. 14-0 vs 0-14, I picking the upset. Fins over Pats.

Seriously, the only chance they have at a win is against the Jets.

BTW, Did anyone else know that the Dolphins had Wes Welker last year?

I just realized that the Fins aren't as horrible as they seem, they've lost half their games by 3 points. In other words, if they had been lucky they could be 5-5 right now.

With the deluge of rain for the game the Fins may win cause passing will be tough. Upset tonight?
