    Hello Everyone-

After wanting one for 25 years, I just bought a 1980 308 GTSi! I'm stoked! I'm in the Milwaukee area. I read there is a fellow named Al Pinkowski that is good for service? Don't know his contact info though. I also saw a thread on things one should do upon acquiring one - relays and such.

The car is coming next week sometime, I expect it will need some TLC, it has barely been driven the last several years, I probably won't drive it too much either. It is in very original condition, I will be the second owner.

Congrats!!! Only thing you're forgetting is to post pics up of her. As far as Al goes he's always had praise by Alfa and Ferrari owners and you can reach him at 262-695-4238. For more 308 info I would dig around the 308/328/Mondial section here. Good luck!

I think you probably did alright. After all, it is a 308. You can't screw too much up with it!! ;-) The Wisconsin group is a GREAT group. Throw in the Illinois and Iowa guys and you have a good group. I would highly recommend reaching out to Paul Swartzel. He is the FCA Pres of your region and lives in Dubuque but he and the crew organize drives/parties/events in Wisconsin all the time. It is worth it to join that region.....

MY FIRST FERRARI WAS A 88 TESTAROSSA BACK IN 2003. I HAVE A HOME BY PADDOCK LAKE WISCONSIN AND STORE SOME OF MY FERRARIS AND LAMBORGHINIS THERE. I WILL GLADLY HELP YOU IN ANYWAY I CAN. I DO EVENTUALLY WANT TO GET A 308 OR 328 FOR MY COLLECTION. I THINK THEY ARE THE TRUE FERRARIS. HALF THE FUN OF GETTING A USED CAR IS SO THAT YOU CAN RESTORE IT TO NEW, ESPECIALLY NEW PAINT. I HAVE A GREAT GUY IN BERLIN, WISCONSIN THAT IS RESTORING MY LAMBORGHINI COUNTACH. AGAIN, CONGRATULATIONS AND LETS KEEP IN TOUCH.

Have you been to any car shows in the area? I live in Kenosha and haven't seen any of the cars around. I'd love too! It would certainly beat seeing the modified AMC cars driving around here :)

I am on the east side and have a 348 spyder. Al is a great guy, been out to his shop and met the wife as well. You won't go wrong using him for service. Have fun detailing your new baby this winter, and hope we see you around, Scott
