    I still don't know why Mattel got the rim color wrong, maybe they ran out of lead paint.

    When the 1:1 FXX first came out I beleive it had the silver rims on them, then they started equiping black rims. I wish it had the black rims on it but I'm hopeing they come out with the FXX Evoluzione which should have the black rims.

    You're right, the color of the wheels were silver when they first came out on the 1:1 cars.
    Mattel just started making them with black wheels though.

    I painted mine with Satin black paint and a metallic satin red for the rim!

    Really changed the look of it... looks awesome now! Only hope its the right thing to have done, as these with the silver wheels might end up rarer!
