Having today placed a deposit down for a Scuderia (build date Sept 08) I thought it might be interesting to have a thread on the interior. There are a fair few colour and material options available. I'm a very large distance from my dealer so all my documentation is coming via email - it's quite hard to make decisions this way and I guess part of the purpose of this thread it to get some ideas and see some pictures of interiors to help the decision making.
To get this thread going - I'm intrigued to know whether the interior in the first picture is the standard technical fabric, or Alcantara.
In the second picture is it black alcantara or technical fabric and am I right to say the main part of the seat is two-layer fabric in red?
Is the Cavallino on the head rest in the colour you order the stiching in? I know that unless you state otherwise the stitching will be in the colour of the two way fabric. But, if you ordered black/black two way fabric, but red stitching would the Cavillino be in red?
Is the rev counter in yellow unless you specify otherwise?
The second photo is taken from a post by Fastlankan - I hope you don't mind.
Everyone feel free to add photos of specs they have chosen, and it might be helpful if they could post what material it is, and what two-layer fabric options etc.
    Cheers

Both pics are Tech fabric. Alcantara is way nicer but less practical. If you won't be using the Scud as daily drive and / or track days, I strongly suggest Alcantara. I saw the Alcantara live in Frankfurt, it is just amazing... Your call

    +1 to what you said.

I have ordered Rosso Alcantara on my 430 Scuderia coming this December. Rosso Scuderia / Rosso Alcantara with Black Tech Fabric inserts in seats and roof. I suppose it will look great. Best.

Thanks gents. I am a little worried about the durability of the Alcantara so may go with the technical fabric. In the second picture is the technical fabric black, because it looks a little grey to me?

I have 20K on the Alcantara in my CS and its fine. I think if you park the car outside alot its prone to fading, but my car is garaged, so I've had no problems in that regard.

I'm torn between Alcantara again or the new tech cloth, I'm hoping to see the demo car that's doing the rounds before I place my order.

The tech fabric is nice and seems very durable to the feel(I sat in it and examined it) I would suggest that for the inserts. Can you do the rest of the seats in leather? Contrasting stitching looks fantastic. Also what are the dash options? That seems to be where I see the most Alcantara fading.

I track tested the car - one with the tech fabric and one with the alcantara. The tech fabric is certainly "sportier" and more in keeping with the spirit of the car. It is also a new fabric developped for the car by Ferrari and I recall that when Alcantara was first a choice on the CS a lot of people stuck with the leather option through fear that the alcantara would wear poorly.

If Ferrari feel it is good enough then that is good enough for me! Anyway that is what I have chosen (delivery in 2 weeks).

One other thought: the cost of the alcantara is so high that I'd rather spend the money on tyres and brake pads than on cloth..............

:) Good point, but the start of a slippery argument slope, one might make that point about the whole car versus a Radical.

I'd love to see the Scuderia appear on the configurator, but no such luck yet.

I've only seen close up pictures of the technical fabric posted by others. It seems to me that the honeycomb like texture of the two layer fabric would be a pain in the a$$ to maintain and to keep clean. As cool as it looks, I'm going with full leather instead.

It's black......it's just grey due to the reflection of the light. I'm going with the same setup as in the pictures for my Scuderia (technical fabric + two layer fabric in grey). I will have a grey exterior for my Scuderia.
As far as the color of the Cavallino on the head rest is concerned, I'm not sure what color it can come in, however, I personally want a yellow Cavallino and I will try to specify it to be in that color and see how Ferrari will respond.....I'll let you know.

    Congratulations, Mark...........great buy ;).

Is there a leather option similar to the CS seats?

Hi Tarek, little off-topic but just saw these pictures from the launch of the Scuderia in Ireland. This is the first grey one I've seen, looks great. Are you getting the stripes?

John, the central part of the seat and back must come in a two layer fabric, the side parts of the seat and back can be a choice of black technical fabric, alcantara or leather.

Thanks, John.........I didn't see those pictures before. That Scuderia is in Grigio Silverstone. I have my F430 in that color. I'm getting the Scuderia in a different shade of grey, it is a lighter grey which I selected from the historical Ferrari colors, Colori Anni '50-'60.
I won't be getting the stripes.

I'm sure that two layer fabric is designed for it's booty grabbing non slip characteristics.......use Woolite it'll be okay......LOL!

    - The central part of the seat is a two-layer fabric in red.

    - The color of the stitching is determined by the two layer fabric selection, therefore if you select a black on black two layer fabric, your default stitching color will be black unless you choose the options STC1 or STC2 and then you can specify your stitching color which in your case will be red # 0504.

    - Rev. counter by default is in the color yellow.

Thanks Tarek, think I have pretty much figured it out now.
My external colour will be Rosso Scuderia. Will probably go for black technical fabric and black two layer fabric, but with red stitching.
I think I have pretty much figured out what I want aside from I'm still unsure whether to go with BAT1, underfloor moulding and wheel arch in technical fabric - pictures I have seen without it seem to show welding joints!

The first cars were produced with the bare metal showing.....you still can order it as such, but IMO it doesn't look very nice. You have three other options. Either BAT1 (technical fabric), BATA (alcantara) or BATP (leather). This is an area which you will constantly be rubbing your shoes against and it needs to be made of a heavy duty material, in this case the best option IMO would be the technical fabric.....alcantara and leather would be too sensitive for this specific area. In F430s this area is covered in carpet.
