Nelson Piquet is not that bad at all.... Looks like he took pole over a lot of more famous drivers recently... http://www.pitpass.com/fes_php/pitpass_news_item.php?fes_art_id=33460
Damn can I get in on this bet? That seems like an easy $50.00 to me! Are you kidding, Hamilton won't win 2 WDC's? You must be smoking something that is altering your thought process. Hamilton came out of the gate and showed immense talent. Does he have alot to learn? Yes he does, that is evident. But does he have talent? Absolutely. Within the next 5 years, Hamilton will be the top driver in F1 with AT LEAST 2 WDC's! As much as I love Team Ferrari, you can not deny Hamilton's talent. He had a taste of the WDC this year with comming so close to winning, you don't think he his going to be hungry this year to win it? Look out F1 world! Mike
I agree. Still the bet is not without risks, particularly if you think about 1982 or 1994. Kubica came within an inch this year. It could happen again.
LOL I hate to paint dark visions, but I have been following F1 since the seventies and seen many heroes leave too early. If you read the details on the Kubica crash, it truly was a miracle he just limped away from it.
I agree mate I remember it was one of the 1st pic's I posted on here commenting on how good the cars are, capable of withstanding such impacts but like you say it could go wrong..
plus early season penalty for macas plus no traction control which means more accidents and more odds in my favor although I don't want to win it that way...
My, my! Aren't we aggressive! Or is it just a NY (or NJ) state of mind. Wow, I guess we also know that you are R I C H! Are we supposed to be impressed?! Remember, a $ ain't what it used to be! With regard to F1 history: Schumacher: 90 Victories, 7 Titiles, No one even comes close (sorry, Senna AND Prost together equal the same - 1 victory). If that is cracking under pressure, then so be it. As to running people off the track....well there was Prost vs Senna, then there was Senna vs Prost just to illustrate the point.....At least, Senna and Prost were not "fined" for it. Different times, different morals. One final point: Schumacher is a gentleman: remember the Tsunami? He gave an amount equal to 66% of the first US Government donation 24 hours before the US gave, and then fired his PR person for leaking the info. A genuine human being.
Quote:"Wow, I guess we also know that you are R I C H! Are we supposed to be impressed?! Remember, a $ ain't what it used to be!" Response: I agree, it's usually a compensation for something else and the funniest thing is that all the money in the world won't get you through the gates at the end.. 100 years from now nobody will know, nor care, who Bill Gates is, but millions will still go to church to worship on Sunday, all celebrating the life of the poorest man who ever lived... In regard to this comment: "Feel good about your odds!! without TC watch this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qt_PJqM-sRc" Response: Why didn't Hami show up in Brazil? He was invited by Massa, he and Massa are buddies! I guess he didn't want Schumi to kick his ass?
FA and Jensen Button at Honda with Ross Brawn.... I can see a Honda moving up in the pack rather quickly... BMW will be in there as well.... I see 2008 being a super competitive year, one that McLaren will struggle in...
Kimi will score his 2nd title in 08. Lewis' time hasn't come yet. The guy is so young, you gotta think longterm.
There is no long term... You're in or you're out.... Like you said, do it before 30, or hit the highway... 2009 FA will be driving the red car, it will be tag team WDC's for ferrari for the next 5 to 7 years after that.... Hami will be out in the cold, doing commercials for depends...
Whoa! My crystal ball doesn't have the longterm functionality of yours. Mine can only track 1 year in advance. My rationale is rather simple: Lewis is the next Schumacher/Prost/Senna and greatness rises to the top. I can't say in what car he'll get his titles nor when, but I'm absolutely certain he'll get them.
Your odds are getting worse: At Honda, he would have exactly the opposite and thereby be in even bigger trouble than at McLaren when he was at least running near the front when fighting his team-mate. Actually, it would be yet worse, because the perception of Buttons level still hasnt caught up with the reality and so Alonsos stock would fall yet further. The only pressue Lewis will have is beating the horse hope you are around to witness it...
I just use logic and know that the entire field is out to stop Hami from being the next Senna. The poor boy has made his enemies, and they don't forget... Kraftwerk... Buy a vowel.. Ross Brawn can make any team a champion, he did it a Ferrari after they had blown it for 21 years.. Honda spends more money on toilet paper for their employees than Fiat makes a year so trust me when I say if they want to win, they will... They didn't hire Ross and FA to lose!
And there gonna do that over night right his name is Ross Brawn not Mary poppins. BTW I would be very happy to Honda a frontrunner very happy..whoever driving
Quote: "And there gonna do that over night right his name is Ross Brawn not Mary poppins." I know a bunch of other people who made a wise crack like that back a few years ago.. Then they ate their lunch for 7 WDC's and quit saying stupid things...
On that part I have to agree. Brawn can defnitely turn around the organization, Alonso is the best car developer and Honda was dominating F1 with their engine in the eighties. Problem is, this will take some time. At absolute best Honda could hope for an occasional win next year, but that might even be stretching. They still have the worst of the team managers running the show and if Alonso goes to Ferrari in 09 they're back where they started. As I said, my radar tracks only one year out.
Thiessen and BMW are competitive, Renault is Competitive, Ferrari is Competitive, McLaren is Competitive and Honda is now as well... The odd's of Hami winning or placing in the top three are going way down.... This year Ferrari and McLaren had the only competitive cars, the rest sucked... I say only Ferrari had a competitive car as McLaren stole theirs from Ferrari, but there are others who can't see the truth... Next year, the competition is going to be a lot harder... BTW, I can hardly wait to see the results of the law suits against McLaren... I see a nice big fat check coming to Ferrari in the next two to three years, one that will probably add 10% to their bottom line...
We all must agree that Hami has alot of talent but his result's, and I emphasize RESULT'S, this past season were only due to him being in a front running car. F1 need'd someone like him to come along after Schuey's retirement. Now what will truelly show his talent is if McLaren fail's to produce a car for '08 like they had in '07 which will lead Lewis to perfect his race strategy and car developement/setup skill's. Forget about Alonso in a Ferrari as I think Lewis should be in a Ferrari someday now that would be great.
I can't wait see you pay Andreas. I would rather put my money on a three-legged rocking horse in the grand national.
We all already know about you and your money...... Someone else already posted something way better than I can....
