$75K-$100K over MSRP

 

I am from Germany myself and I do not know about American F-market very much, but my F-friends from California told me that premiums for the first cars to hit Us F-dealer can even reach $150K range. In Germany premiums for first Scuderias coming this December is about EUR 80.000,00 netto But when more news regarding F430 replacement launch will show up. this histeria around Scuderia will dissapear very quick. But this is only my opinion, I am on the list for Scuderia, so such news are not so welcome for me, but there is no way to keep interest to the Scuderia on such high level as today, when ALL NEW model is almost near future. Best.

 

Purely speculation....but that is exactly what was said about the Stradale, and look at it now!! almost 4 years old and still commanding MSRP plus!!

 

I have asked the question to a couple F-car dealers, and have been told $100k over MSRP.

 

I am told the base Scuderia MSRP will be around $230,000. Is Ferrari going to allow dealers to sell it over MSRP? If not, how does the dealer get around the one year lease with Ferrari?

Amir, when would you have time to drive it? With all the high perf. cars you own, I would think you get a headache trying to decide which one to drive.

I agree. However, will Ferrari allow their dealers to sell over MSRP? It is an issue that can be easily monitored by Ferrari. I do not know what Ferrar's postion will be.

 

Maybe I am misunderstanding you or you were not speaking of the U.S. market. In the U.S., Ferrari Dealers presently sell at "market" price every Ferrari. Except for those few who may buy at MSRP, you can bet (whatever), the Scudaria will sell for at least MSRP + $100,000 U.S. Best

 

My dealer said the rumor is $235,000.- msrp. BUT because Ferrari dealers are being asked to sell $25k in options to obtain extra allocations I would bet almost ever Scuderia will be $260,000.- msrp. Add taxes, surcharges and such most new buyers are spending $280k *BEFORE* the aftermarket markups.

The only rumors Ive heard are that Ferrari NA is going to also require either a lease or partial financing on the car. There is a set minimum that buyers are required to finance and carry. If youve heard otherwise..cool..cause all ive heard are rumors still anyway

 

I am speaking of the US market and if I am not mistaken Ferrari has instructed their dealers to sell at MSRP. What Ferrari has been doing to compensate some of the dealers is give them extra allocation to sell over MSRP. If Ferrari has relented and is now allowing the dealers to sell all their cars for whatever they can get, then the brand is in trouble. They are many good reasons for insisting on pricing cars at MSRP. Ferrai knows this as well as Porsche and other luxury car manufacturers.

I suppose a car like the Scud might be a special case allowing Ferrari to turn the other way when sold over MSRP but to make a blanket assertion that all Ferrari's are sold over MSRP may not be true. All the Ferrari's I have bought have been at MSRP.

 

Just the facts!!! you may have been one of the chosen.... But i can tell you, i have boughten 3 pre-owned Ferraris from Dealers and when asked about a new!! 430 (not a Scud), it was going to come with a 40k above MSRP market price adjustment, plain and simple you gotta pay to play!! I didnt...but many others have, no problem for me or Ferrari.

 

It's a fact that you will be required to lease or finance the Scud. I have not heard that there is minimum dollar amount.

 

In early 2005, regular F430s were +$70K and spiders were at one time +$150K.

 

with the market adjustments, a fully optioned Scuderia will be around $400k (as the local dealer said).. which is stoops....since that's around the price of a pristine 2005 CGT.

 

Did you mean that you could get a new F430 at $40K over MSRP relatively quickly or still needed to be on a long waitlist? If it's the former then $40K over was much better than the market price.

 

Quickly!!! It seems they keep a certain amount of allocations in there back pocket (I dont know how it works!!) 40k over MSRP, come in and build your car and "wallah" your in!! the build cycle. Now again regular f430 (not a spider or Scud).

I do believe this is the standard market adjustment that most have paid, give or take a few thousand duckets.

 

According to one of Ferrari's executives, NO dealer is alowed to sell ANY Ferrari at a markup higher than MSRP! It is "an immediate dealer termination" as he put it if a dealer is found doing so.

However, I am sure dealers will find a way of bending that rule, especially in the US, where Ferrari North America is enforcing dealer rules and regulations, and not Ferrari Italy.

And by the way, I just finalized my Scuderia order...came out to $273k including gold wheels, special order gold stripes, CF door sills, contrast stitching, steering wheel with LEDs and CF, adjustable seats in Large, alcantara seats with dual fabric in the middle, rosso RPM, rosso calipers, integrated radio with iPod connector, space saving spare tyre...

 

Have the US dealers been given thier allocation numbers? And what will the seats look like?

 

I didn't know you could choose seat size - I must look into that for my order. What would a normal size person fit best into - the medium or large?

 

Get a medium sized seat......large is for BIG people .

 

I have medium on my Stradale. 5'8" 160 lbs. Seems like a good fit. The foam adjusts after a short time. The dimensions are listed somewhere for these. Stradale seats are from Sparco. Might be on their website. But I am not sure about the Scuderia seats. Scuderia passenger seat is large to handle a baby seat if needed.

if I may, medium by european standards would be too tight by US and Mideast standards I think large would be best, especially for resale... it is always easier to deal with being a bit loose in your seat, than being tight and uncomfortable...
