Hello,

I just got a Yamaha R1 and looking for local cycle performance shop. First, I need to lower my bike and put lower profile seat on the bike. I been riding bikes for about 10years but I just don't like not having both feet on the ground.

Thanks

Chris try looking here..... www.google.com. For real I'm confused how you can be riding, driving or whatever for ten years but don't know where to find resources for cars bikes or anything else.

BTW there is a cycle shop in falls church over by Rt 7 and Arlington Blvd I think... or at least there used to be

Not sure which part of Virginia you live in.
Loudoun Motorsports in Leesburg, VA is a good shop out where I live.
They are the local Yamaha, Suzuki, Kawasaki, and Honda dealer.

There are cycle dealers everywhere but most of them won't do any performance or chassis modifications. BTW, forums are there for users to ask questions.

LOL, i see you are one of those guys who says alot online. BTW, can you post something that is helpful. I could of checked manufacture's website and looked for nearest dealer if that is what i wanted it. Key here is something useful, something related to thread title.

not really but when I do it makes sense. BTW in spite of your apparent lack of knowledge for using a search engine I tried to help.... as evidenced in my first post... From the look of it the next person gave you the same type of info. Perhaps you would better served by asking one of the many sport bike forums that exist where they have their work done? Tell me when you need to remove a part from one of your cars do you use the proper tools or a sawsall?

I'll never ask you for your help with anything but it is your choice to post useless things. BTW, you do not make any sense, because you still didn't post anything helpful with thread title. I do not care for your opionion so take it somewhere else. We can always meet at the track and see how many laps i'll lap you. LOL

Well if you want to get technical---YOU are on Ferrarichat posting about motorcycles. And you tell him to take it elsewhere? You may want to watch your manners here or you won't be here anymore....Try the bottom of the forum--there is a motorcycle section down there...

I wholehardedly agree! I have lots of cars and motorcycles, and would not even consider asking on this site how to modify my bikes! Barcheta was having fun with you for a lame posting, and you are being rude.......We can have a vote, but it won't be close! Motorcycle questions on motorcycle site! Ferrari questions on Ferrari sites! And don't think JB wouldn't embarass you and your Stradale on the track!

Geez guys.

One of our brothers is in need of assistance.

He figures I'll pop on FerrariChat. Those guys are bright, articulate and friendly, they'll have a good idea where to go.

And BAM!! we put some serious smack down on him.

That's not being very neighborly is it?

How about we all lighten up a little, give him a couple leads if we know them, and loosen up on the caffeine a little. Maybe more thorazine in the water would help.

Or, instead, let's kick his ass all over the MAR forum.

Sheesh.

Dave

I didn't realize there was history.

I was hoping you'd take the gratuitous compliment I planted and run with that instead.

Oh well, so much for peace making.

Hey,

I'm opened to it. Pick a track day at summit point in 08 and lets see what you got. Or better yet if you want to rent the track with group of guys than we can do it this year. I'm all for it buddy. Have you seen my Stradale?

Yes, I understand and thought I was helpful by giving you a couple places to check. Even though the thread should of never been posted in this section. Then you bash a valued member here by telling him to take it elsewhere? Trust me, you don't want to start a war of words here with me... Get it?? :D
