I went with this option as well. Supposedly its an extra $3,850 for alcantara seats with dual layer fabric centers instead of technical fabric with dual layer fabric centers....can someone please confirm this. Also, I was told that the red alcantara on the sides of the seats as in the picture from the Spain event above will result in a delay of 1-2 months if ordered...again, is this true?! My gold stripes are already going to delay the car for 1 month, but they say it'll be an extra 1-2 months on top of that!!!
About price of the Alcantara seats it is true. I have my option list in EUR, but something about that. I am getting my 430 Scuderia this December with interior similar to the shown in pics from Spain - Rosso Alcantara and there is NO delay in delivery. This is option from standart options list and there is no any sort of delay in delivery. It is nonsence. Delay of the delivery is possible if you go with special order specs, as Gold Stripes for example. But it can not be delay in delivery if you choosing options from options list. Best.
That Nero Alcantara actually looks really nice - maybe I am doing the wrong thing going with the Technical fabric.
Supraman, I believe in a previous post you said that your dealer stated that your scuderia would be a "resale bomb"...why is that? - just curious.
Just my thoughts....maybe he meant since it'll be red with stripes and red alcantara, basically a more "standard/classic" look, he could "easily" get rid off it at a pretty good premium! Thats one of the reasons I've ordered mine in Red, though I'm still having second thoughts about it. The problem is, if I go with white, which I would prefer, I'd probably not find many buyers if I decide to flip it down the road. White with gold wheels and gold stripes, or a more sporty white with grey wheels, grey stripes, yellow calipers, black alcantara, and yellow contrast stitching would be great.
Really Tarek - you mean on the seats too, not just the wheel well right? I think the Alcantara looks good but my problem with it is the durability. I know some of the guys with 360 CS's are having to use razors and shavers to take out bobbling. I am worried it could look a bit crap after two or three years. I haven't actually been able to see the technical fabric in real life, so it's hard to make the decision. Does anyone have more pictures of an all black Alcantara interior?
yea I thought his color combo seemed very desirable, different understanding of the word "bomb" I guess. I recently read somewhere on this forum that the amount of white ferraris being ordered increased by 5000% or some ridiculous number...so maybe white would not be such a bad choice....
Am I right to say first picture is black Alcantara, second picture is Black Technical Fabric? (On roll bar and seat, i know the rear panel is Alcantara as standard) Tough choice to make! Pictures from Italiaspeed.com Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Yes, Mark......on the seats as well. But now you worry me with this "bobbling". I know what it is, but haven't heard of it before occuring on Ferrari Alcantara. Maybe some of the guys who have Alcantara seats on their cars can clarify this point.
Rosso Scuderia paint on Rosso Alcantara interior and smartly selected options, everything needed is at place and nothing pricey and useless. That is why. Best.
Tarek - the tyre pressure monitoring, I know you have it on your 430 - does it need to go back to the dealer to get reset at all? What do you do when you change tyres etc? I am quite a way from the dealer here so I want to avoid things that require visits to the dealer. When you get a minute be interested to know how you get on with yours. Thank you Sir.
It's simple.....you can reset on your own. I have done it before. You have a small red square button just below the dash on the LH. You just press on it for a few seconds with the ignition turned on until the display turns green, then drive the car for a few minutes until the TPM starts showing the readings.
Mark, I'm probably going to go with the roll-bar. I'll be doing a number of trackdays so it's extra safety, plus also makes a good mount for camcorder clamps (recording laps). No issue for me with it not being fully covered. In fact, I was planning on no fabric for footwell also but studying the photos in this thread, I'm now having 2nd thoughts about that and may go with BAT1. Has anyone confirmed whether the stripes are painted or a vinly sticker with lacquer over it, as in the 360CS?
Tarek, but the 360CS "stickers" were also an expensive option at around £3500. Many had assumed they were painted.
It is painted. Seen it, touched it, felt it! Will confirm the "Unbelievers" after delivery this week....
