    Its probably on the same scale as horseradish. It can spoil a nice bit of good quality beef, can make a bad bit of beef more interesting; but really at the end of the day its down to an individuals taste.

    I think they can be more trouble than they are worth.
    They can put you in situations where you shouldn't have been.
    I have a simple (but unfortunately memorable) golf related plate and it has been seen in places I have shouldn't have been ;)
