I know that it is difficult to put a price on a vehicle. But at least I would like to have an idea if it is a deal or not.

1984 Mondial Cab. 92K miles. Daily driver, some scratches and dings. Low on tires. 30K mile service done about 6K miles ago. Clutch was done about 12K miles ago. Roof with small tear. All seals replaced not long ago. Records available. Went through about 3 to 4 clutches. All records.

Would a fair price be $15K? $18K $20K? $22K? I have seen nice ones with 30K miles for about $24K.

    Thanks,

    Richard

If you have to buy TRX tires and a top, that's about $3,000. Paint? Depends on what type of job you want. But no matter how much you spend on repairs, the car will still have 92K miles and climbing. This car is at a level that many have not achieved. We really don't have much data on how long the parts that haven't yet broken will last. No matter what you fix, I don't think this car will see the north side of $20K for years to come.

15k tops, forget repainting it. You would be upside down quick. Think i would look for a better car. No such thing as cheap Ferrari. Good luck...

Good way to price the car: Get estimates for those things that you'd fix. If a nice one is 22k, deduct the cost of the fixes from that, and then take another 5k off for the high mileage. That should give you a fair price. I suspect it will be below 15k. I'm not sure if that is market value or not, but it is what the car is worth to you, otherwise you'd be better off with a better car.
