There was a thread in the Texas section about this car. Guy picked it up in Houston and drove it straight through to Fla to get it fitted with twin turbos. Dave
Finally some nice weather to drive the 400A, which has no a/c at present. Only thing is, taking the car Uptown, for example,is like dragging a sleepy Paul Bunyan around. The interstate's the place, but with all that work in Metairie, it's a drag until past Clearview. My favorite run is over to Boutte. Can really get up some speed. Jim Lindsey and his crew put in an all-new suspension for me. They did a great job.
Quite a lucky set of friends. Just incase you know of anyone else who has a Ferrari in need of exercise, it sounds like quite a tough assignment but I would be more than willing to assist. ;-) It might just give me something to do while I am waiting on my new 08 RS. Koko took me for a ride in his Lambo yesterday; very impressive acceleration. I must say I now know why he could walk away from the old 07 RS.
I know it was a lot to ask of them but they stepped up to the plate. My neighbor who is taking care of the TR has named it The Beast, he had fun manuvering it out the driveway with out power steering and the heavy clutch.
What a great weekend. Other then the Saints losing a game they could easily win. ran the BB both sat & sun.
I saw a Black 599 tonight in the garage at Canal Place. I have a pic on my Treo I'll put up later. BTW don't eat at the wyndham :-/
Looks like one of those new ugly Louisiana plates to me. You can tell by the funky beige color at the bottom. A black 599 must be pretty sharp in person
