Hello I'm John. I'm 18 living it up in the good ole' Minnesota. I always loved Ferrari's but I recently had been watching Formula one and now I am getting into them more and more. I am currently a student going for mechanical engineering so hopefully one day I can say I own a Ferrari. Also, hopefully this place isn't as bad as VWvortex.com which is a total flame-a-thon.

My name is Steve, I live in Indiana I am 37 years old I do not own a Ferrari and I am starting to seriously think about shopping for a 308 GTS. I have lurked around here for quite some time and have enjoyed the things I have learned and the photos of the cars. I for one do not care how much money the owners make nor do I care how much they paid for their cars. The bottom line is that I believe the Ferrari brand is a piece of artwork that can be driven!

Nothing is like that place, it is an awful place. The members here are a little older, wiser and yet still like to let loose on people when they deserve it. The Southern California section has probably the most entertaining group and there is always some drama of the moment, but rarely an uncalled for flamewar.

listen, learn, take your lumps when your time comes, and enjoy.

I joined the forum so that I could learn more about Ferraris. I've always admired them, when I lived outside Detroit seeing the Ferrari display at the autoshow was always a treat. Now I am 28 and starting to think about getting one. I currently drive a Subaru Legacy GT, 2,5L turbo, 5 speed. Nothing crazy, but fun, forced injected and AWD, which I hope to track for the first time (both the car and myself) in the spring. Only mods are some tires (Kumho SPT) and Hawk HPS brake pads and ATE super blue fluid.

I also have a project car a 4 door 1964 Mercury Comet which I am bringing back to life after a long time of neglect.

All that said I am starting to think about getting one for some weekend drives out in the hill country here in Texas. My father in law has an '89 Corvette which I always enjoyed driving out in the country up in western NY even though it is not as quick as the Legacy, lacks a lot of creature comforts, poor visibility, runs hot, gets poor fuel economy and sounds like it is going to rattle to pieces at WOT...but I still ask to take it out every time I visit, fill 'er up with premium and wash and wax it when I return it.

I'm not really a Corvette guy though, and even though I am working on an American classic I am not really an American car guy. I drive a Japanese car, but other than some of the Datsuns from the 70s (240z, 280z) I am not really a Japanese car guy. So I am here to learn some more about Ferrari and find out if I am an Italian car guy.

Oh it is absolutely terrible as of recently. I never knew so many idiots could congregate in one forum. Apparently I was terribly wrong. It didn't used to be so bad back in 05' when I joined but now all of the guru's have left and now the majority is just babbling idiots.

    /rant.

Anyways, you guys seem a lot more mature and I hope you guys can let me in your group and drooooool all over your Ferrari. :)

I'm Kristen, I'm 23, and have my own condo in Upper Saddle River, NJ. I'm a student (a type of professional school) and currently self-employed. Hope to get an F430 or it's successor one day when I'm done with school. Currently right now I drive a 2005 Mazda RX-8 6-speed which I absolutely adore!

Edit: I think it's kind of funny that I get similar gas mileage to some of you guys in F-cars. I get about 18-22 mpg highway, sometimes as low as 13 mpg in town driving. Rotaries love to rev!

hey everyone my names troy im 35 and live in ohio. i did have a 94' eagle talon tsi awd with minor mods for a while before my daughters were born but currently i am "between" sportscars and hope to have somthing again when they are older. always been a car guy and do not subscribe to the "this is better than that" theory i like all automotive types for one reason or another, exotics, muscle, sport compact etc. i've worked for the lkq corporation for 10 years and they are the largest auto recycler in the country this allows me to talk with and hangout with alot of other car guys. ill probably never have the honor of owning a ferrari but my hotwheels/matchbox and diecast 1:18 cars will always keep me happy...until i hit the lotto thanks-

Hello, my name is Joe I live in Columbus, Ohio. I am thirty years old and a car and motorcycle lover. I have been selling exotics for over five years and now currently work for Lamborghini Ohio. I know this is a Ferrari site and I work for lambo, but I have sold and driven very many Ferrari's and love just about all exotics.

I currently do not own any super cars but I fill that void by being in the exotic biz.

My name is Scott I live in Hobart, Tasmania, Australia. Severe addiction to all things automotive. Joined up to take a look at a couple of threads and got hooked. A lot of knowledgeable and passionate people. Hopefully one day I will have had first hand experience with Ferrari. For now though I spend every cent I have going motor racing. Sometimes I wish I had taken up Tennis or something, something a lot cheaper. But nothing gives me great pleasure than driving. Gearing up for first season of rallying.

    Best wishes to all.

    Hello everyone,

I am a senior at Indiana University majoring in International Studies and Business, focusing on China. I think i can account my lack of studying due to this site being terribly addicting. Huge Ferrari fan, they leave me absolutely speechless. Don't own one, but they are sure something to work very hard for and will definitely own in the not so distant future. This past summer I was in Shanghai doing study abroad and was lucky enough to be there during the Ferrari Festival at the F1 track, and there was nothing else like it. Over 10 FXX's (including a guy RTB who posts here quite frequently) About 50 430's it seemed, some 599's, the challenge cars, the f1's, enzo, etc. It was absolutely spectacular seeing those f1's scream around the track. While i was there I ended up doing my research project linking Ferrari's success to China's growth, met some good people during the process.

Anyways, just wanted to throw in a post and say hello to all,

    Best,

    JM

    Hello,

Been “lurking” for a few months, hoping to learn from owner experiences and insights into my favorite Ferrari models – Testarossa and F355.

I have owned many foreign and domestic sports cars, but have not yet taken the plunge into what I consider the pinnacle of automotive passion through design. I’ve had a passion for Ferraris since the mid 80’s as a college student watching Miami Vice (I know). Although more than 20yrs old, the Testarossa is still my ultimate dream car.

I currently own a 1997 993 C4S, and in process of purchasing a 993TT—both black of course!! I will always own a Porsche, they are incredible cars with incredible technology (yup, engineer). Even so, for me, they don’t seem to ignite the same emotions and passion of a Ferrari. My 15yr old son and I drive to Chicago and Detroit (equidistant from my home) just to look at them, even if behind the glass of locked showrooms (again, I know).

My hope is to make the dream come true soon. Meantime, I'm enjoying the pictures, info and ownership experienceses, etc. posted on this board.

As a side note for anyone in or near the West Michigan area, some friends and I are looking to start a micro version of “Cars and Coffee” here in the Grand Rapids area. Most of us are Porsche only owners but you gotta start somewhere!!

    Regards

    a 328, probably an 87 or 88. May consider a 348. I've wanted

Hi all, I'm Craig from NY and I have been a Ferrari lover for years ever since I received the ride of my life in a 308 GT4 (I was 10, I'm 32 now). Sadly, my only Ferrari's are die cast and probably will be for a long time. I'm doing my research now just in case my financial situation one day allows for a 308 GT4 purchase.

My name is Eddie, and I have been lurking here for a while now, mostly searching for period pictures of 250 GTO's, since I am working on a project to draw then/now views of every one built. I've completed about 4 so far. . . Great site, and I really enjoy the threads.
