At FOA yesterday I saw the neatest Dino, had a 206 SP look. Large flares, Gold racing wheels, glass covered lights, much wider, with duck tail rear spoiler. Any info or history on this car? Was told it was Hoss Cartwrite's.

Seeing him try to fit in a Dino would have been a "Kodak Moment".

Anyone have a picture of this car, because it sounds pretty cool? I enjoy seeing pictures of people's cars that have been modified, even if I don't always think I would have done the same modifications.

Are you thinking of Dan BLOCKER (not Bloker)?

Yes, you are write...I mean right. And it is Ferrari of Atlanta.

Two other passions rule his offscreen life. The first is race cars. He is partner in a firm known as Vinegaroon Racing Associates. "Our goal", says Dan, "is Indianapolis." They came a cropper with a $20, 000 Elva-Maserati which, unfortunately, would do everything except corner. (Expenses and mechanics wages ran the total investment to $60, 000). Currently, they have an order for an $18,000 Cobra.

Dan himself does not drive professionally; he leaves that to his driver (who is also an actor), Bob Harris. But he likes race drivers and racing talk, and shows up in the pits at Indianapolis every year. "Race drivers", he says, "aren't interested in TV. All they want to talk about is racing." A friend has suggested that competition between man and man, man and animal (as in deer hunting), or animal and animal (as in horse racing), does not interest Dan. "But man's creation vs. man's creation--ah, that's the thing with Blocker."

These must be ancient facts as Dan died 35 years ago.

The chrome wheels make it resemble a kit car, but the bodywork looks great - thanks for posting pics. A nice set of aluminum wheels, or a set of widened Campagnolos would make it looks awesome.

+1..... I know it's their car and they can do what the hell they like to it etc etc.... But i think they should be shot at dawn, it looks a complete arse of a car.

In fact on second thoughts, are we sure that it is'nt a Kelmark?

when i first saw the photo, i honestly thought someone had cut a targa into a kelmark. i agree about to each their own part, but if you are going to do something to a car, i would hope you would make it look better.

does anyone know the serial number of this car?

i am guessing that this isn't the car that started the thread, i was expecting a 206 sp style of car

Old Dan was cheap sob. He knew the owner of Nickey Chevrolet. He would rather sleep on the couch at the dealership than get a hotel room.
