That sounds pretty cool. You would think Jims P4/5 would be on there, seeing as its the most expensive AND him being on the network before?

:) I wonder what a GTOs original sale price would be if you adjusted for inflation??

Oh, wait. It still would have become one of the best investments ever made.

Amazing! 21 of the 36 250 GTO's in the world all together in California. Damn, I would have loved to have been there.

$18,000 in 1962 would be about $120,000 now accoding to this site...... http://www.westegg.com/inflation/

I'd say that would qualify it for a very good investment!!

Problem is you'd have to bail on the car in order to realize it.

I know a gentleman who sold 3223 for 12 grand to purchase the next race car, a 250 LM, I believe. That 250 LM was sold to purchase a Ford GT 40 which was crashed a buried at Lemans. Oh, to have a way back machine!

    regards

    How Very true!!

Interestingly I punched in rough numbers for my 308 in reverse. Since I paid around $20K for it in '03 that would equate to about $7K in 1978 money. On the other hand a new purchase of about $40k in 1978 would now be $130K. Does that mean I got a good buy?
