I have enjoyed the drama this year with F1 very much. But copying, learning and hiring away key indivdiuals from other teams benfiting from their experience, info and what ever they can do for you has always been part of ALL MOTORSPORTS. Heck all Business and Politcs for that matter. Look at copyrights, they don't last for ever either, and others benifit from gained technology because of it. However fun the drama has been this year, I have to say I was very disappointed when F1 gave Renault a free pass. I believe the Mclaren fine and punishment was mostly about F1 saving face and now they have yoke all over theirs. I know that F1 is big money. Lots of people involved. But if I was Mclaren right now I would protest F1, anounce that they won't be campeining a 2008 car (i know that's a big move) start a huge PR campein against F1 and how mad max runs the operation. Invest in a new program with ALMS/Le mans series giving them plenty of exposure to more street style vehicles hopefully helping retail sales. Focus on 2009 F1 when you're eligable for Points and hopfully by then their would be enough reaction to the PR efforts to push Max out of office in 2009. (boy I wish this site had spell check)

After suffering the unequal distribution of blame, the fines, penalties both present and future, shutting down F1 would be a choice. Except ; This is what Mclaren does. It exists solely to race in F1.
It would be like if McDonald's stopped selling burgers and started selling mattresses.
Paybacks will continue on both sides.

PS; I use the spell check provided on Internet Explorer.

This might be a radical suggestion, but maybe learning to spell might be an option. ;)
