They didnt. And that's why they needed a new coach since they fired Mclaren. Capello will now work towards entering the World Cup. Portugues Jose Mourinho was supposed to coach the English team with a 8.9 million Euro offer but backed out last minute. I still predict he'll do a BIG Italian team (AC Milan) or possibly a Spanish team. 3rd guess would be an English team after his contract allows him to. If there is any National team he'll coach will obviously be his own country according to him.
