Great car for the money.... not exactly a looker though.

http://www.vast.com/cars?make_id=Ferrari&model_id=456&body=Coupe . Also try Ferrari Market Letter if you haven't looked there.

There seem to be way more autos on the market than 6 speeds though. It's a fairly quick car but more GT than a sports car.... heavy feeling.... at least the one I drove was.

Yes, you are right about the price and it isn't the most flashy ferrari. I was looking at other 4seater, 2door cars and price of 456 drops right in there. I did saw 456 with HRE wheels and lowered about inch or so around here in mclean and it looked really good. This was black 456 with manual trans. I have seen some of them in 70s with low miles. Also, the sound of the v12 ferrari with tubi is good as it gets.

Be familiar with the difference in the models.

The "M" stands for modified(in english) and these cars are the later cars. These cars all have GT in their names as they are grand tourers par excellence.

A GT is a stick, a GTA will be an auto.

    456M GT Highly recomended.

That silver is just beautiful. Silver is my fist choice in color. How do you keep light color interior so clean? I am looking for one just like your car with black interior.

This is really my baby and I love her. I use her on special occasions and probably drive her twice a month. She is my date night car but I have tracked her.

She will account for herself very well until the tires start to "go off". With her power and torque she was able to persue closely some very fast stuff. She is a bit heavy in the front and she will "push" a little. I ruined a brand new set of tires in one afternoon at the track. I am fairly new to it so I have learned. Now I can feel when I am using the tires too much and can start to "manage" them much more than then.

First(after about four laps) I would feel the fronts start to go. Then your steering gets a little vague. A couple laps later the back starts to go and get loose and you will slow down.

I do not want to track her any more as she is just too fine and the perfect GT for me. I purchased the F1 360 in the pics for that and I am extremely happy about that.

As I said earlier, if you are looking for a GT I can't recomend it strongly enough.

The light interior is another matter. I haven't used it enough to comment. My DD is a 2000 M5 with a black interior and I like it for DD.

I love the Sabbia however and my advice will be to get what you love.

Maybe i am not being realistic but I was planning on spending around 80k for clean car. Color combo I am looking for is silver/black interior and going to lower about an inch and put 20inch hre and tubi catback. I'll probably put well over 15k a year on 456 because i am thinking about using it as DD except winter. I figure this would about same as getting into new M6 but much more car.

    Instead of 20" HRE's can I recommend 19" Novitec's

I think 19's will be much better than the 20's on the car (especially as a daily driver), and well its hard to beat the aesthetics of the Novitec Rossa Wheels.

    best,
    dsd

If i get 20s i would get this wheel in chrome finish. My favorit 5spoke design is fikse FM5 but those rims are too weak for 4000pound street car. Of course there are many other wheel makes, ccw, kineeses??, forgeline, i-forged...
