Would that I had driven half the cars you've taken for a spin!

Here is an question as an afterthought: Was the engine on the LMB positioned aft like that of the GTO or, even further, the Breadvan?

That windshield and that body are amazing together. The small roll bar also complements nicely.

Pedro in action. It seems like the first thing Nart did when they got a car was to remove the air foil?

Thank you for your beautifull photos Boudewijn and Bertocchi...
Here is another one with the great Pedro RODRIGUEZ in the N.A.R.T. #0810.
Seem's he can't wait to start the long Le Mans race in 1964.

Did the Maserati actually race that day. I have no photos of the car? I have two Coopers #60 & #62. There were also two E type Jags for Cunningham. What a group of cars.

Does anyone know the chassis number of the car #46 in the background of post #3171? It is also shown in post 1618 back on page 81 of this thread. I cannot find it listed in any entry or results for either of the Bridgehampton Double 500 races in 1963. Thanks.

It did race and DNF, covering 85 of 110 laps.
This is from 1962, #3387GT. In the background the Ferrari Lusso of Dan Gurney can be seen. (S/N?)

I was unaware that Dan Gurney ever had a personal Ferrari. I also cannot find 3387 raced as #30 in 1962. Can you clarify for us?

This photo was described as Gurney's personal Ferrari at Bridgehampton 1963. Don't know if the car was lent to him or in his possession. I also never heard of Gurney having a Lusso, but that is no prove.

One of the things I love about these old photos is seeing cars like the Lusso in context w/ the cars of the day, like the big clunky american station wagon. It reminds you that our favorite Ferraris were as exotic back then as seeing a 430 today next to an SUV.

Love this thread - it is a treasure.
