It's my time to contribute to Gary's Christmas gift fund. But don't worry Joe, I won't match your level of contributions. You're way ahead of me in that department.

Anyone amongst our French connections know which chassis number this French-registered ("400 SB 76") very early SV is?

Its a very early car as evidenced by the headlamp surround application - seen on the first 12 production SVs...

As evidenced on the SV prototype 4758, the treatment of the headlamp surround involved the application of thin plates sculpted in form with the recessions around the lamps. Very cool indeed, and I suspect it was discontinued becuase it was too time-consuming to hand-fit these items.

Went to Bobileff's for visitation rights to 1021. While there, I took a look at ZN75. The car has been stripped of its paint and primered. The interior has been removed. Gary mentioned a few interesting findings: all of body "panels" of the car are completely different than a standard Miura. The doors are longer, the hood curvature is different, wheel wells are bigger, the windshield bottom corners are curved, the rear open area where the louvers would be is angled more shallow than the standard car. It appears that except for some stiffening the chassis is stock. Pretty cool to see the car in progress.

    Hi Joe,

This Miura SV - still registered 400 SB 76 - belongs to a friend of mine. It's chassis 4846. Nice car

    Thank you for clarifying!

I thought it was likely an early SV, and indeed it is. Of the rest-of-the-world cars, even though its not the first production SV, its the first one completed and supplied to the public (Karl Foitek).

    Hello Alberto,

Unfortunately the only photo I have of your car is this one. It looks lower than all others P400. Hope it helps!

Grazie Joe! Yes, and it is an important car related souvenir for me, I should have taken more photos!

Is 4832 one of these (1971S maybe??...). I have two more "S" to identify...

Thanks Phillipe. That's one I do not have. It does look a little squashed, doesn't it?

on the last page, is that a green miura with blue interior? a source of past inspiration? What's the story on the unfinished green miura?

    Love the period shot's.

And boy do I love the old school Mk1 GTi's in the background. Brings back memories of the ones I had *sigh*. Sooping up those old MK1 GTi's in the late 80's early 90's were my first jump into the car world LOL. (sorry for the off topic!)

The French P400S in the image from 1981 actually has a dark grey interior but the lighting makes it look dark blue.

The P400S at Bobileff's thats unfinshed is getting a black interior (the body is STUNNING) for a USA client.

The red SV with gold rims wears P400S front wheels...

Wheel octagonal center-bolts were original supply for the USA and Germany.

    Thanks for posting!

When you look at the picture with BN-JU-1, what do people look at? Exactly, the Countach...

I think I know the owner of this "RS"-registered red SV from the Nuerburgring in `85.
And I believe he still owns it today next to a Ferrari 250 GT PF Cabriolet and a 250 SWB. But unfortunately I don`t know the VIN of this SV.

    Ciao!
