Vignetting. Possibly caused by a wrong sized filter, or focal length used was too wide for the filter. Judging by the image, it looks like there was absolutely no effect of polariser tough.

I work for the Discovery Channel and we had our first holiday party in years. They put up a tent at the Kennedy Center and had these wonderful acrobats and clowns ect.. walking around. My kids had a great time. It was very cool. Its a big ole' boat. This was at Universal, they brought the set from War of the World's and put it on the backlot. Pretty neat to see.
better linear and ircular polarizer for my Nikon D80 i took from hama lenses..not really evident to used need more pratice. are you happy with your Engine? hard at first..
