Posted on Autoblog today: http://www.autoblog.com/2007/12/11/first-u-s-legal-koenigsegg-ccx-delivered-to-customer/ (emphasis added) I've put that information together with this post by 410SA... Any chance we have a Koenigsegg owner here on F-chat? PS - I recently read 410SA's thread about "focusing his collection" and have followed his subsequent efforts to sell off some of his newer vehicles, so it would seem this is probably not a reference to him. But, it definitely is someone in Arizona - so get ready to see a Koenigsegg, Arizona F-chatters!
I thought this guy 410SA was into classic vintage cars and looking for a Miura but a Koenigsegg is a must for any collector
Not me. The price has become too much for what the car is IMO and the biggest downside is the lack of a local dealer and service facility. It is a stunning vehicle by any measure, but the lack of operating history, the lack of reliable local service and the "newness" of the brand all make it a no-go for me. For that kind of money I'm shopping for 40 and 50 year old cars with some tradition and history to go along with the nuts and bolts
The owner of the Koenigsegg is not on this forum, at least not that I know of. Has LOTS of cars and usually one of the first to get the latest greatest thing on 4 wheels. You should be able to see the car around Scottsdale Fashion in the coming weeks.
I think I might have a good idea of who it is...that would fit his style....Congrats to the new owner!
Ron doesn't really get into the "latest-greatest" when it comes to exotics. My building is next to his compound and I see his stuff all day-everyday. Helicopters, yes, latest and greatest. Buildings, yes, latest and greatest. Tour busses, yes, latest and greatest. Sand Rails, yes, latest and greatest. TT
I'll bet you a Koenigsegg CCX its Dan, the previous owner of the orange mclaren F1. And i think he had a zonda.Wouldnt suprise me if its him. Is he a member here?
ill be in Scottsdale for about a week in January, I hope I can spot it out I saw the Orange Mclaren F1 years back in Scottsdale it flew past me
It was delivered to an Arizona owner yesterday. All black, carbon fiber wheels, carbon fiber wing. Very stunning and impressive car in person. Top Gear set new fastest track time with it on their show.
Dont think its him either. talked to a friend of his the other day and asked about Tim and his Ferraris. He said he got rid of all of them and is doing only Baja off roaders and sandrails. Tim is a member here but I havent seen him post in ages
