where can i find the air corrector (idle) mentioned as part "J" in that diagram? is it changeable, or is it just a hole?

 

Just guessing, but I think "J" in the table might be Item 20 "calibrated bushes" in Fig 13-2 on the top of page 175 (since it seems to be an air inlet orifice in the idle circuit). Not a thread-out/thread-in change, and could be staked in place, so not effort-free, but does look quasi-changeable.

The “78’ refers to the angle of the butterfly from horizontal when closed

In other words the bevel on the edge of the butterfly is 78 degrees

yes they are, but they wouldn't fit my injected head. seems there was a change in the heads or cams around 80/81. there's a pic floating around in a old post with the cams laying in the journals, showing the missmatch.
