i've never seen a gallardo spyder in atlanta...cool find.
What?? These are like spotting a Honda around Roswell. They are everywhere. I saw a sky blue one yesterday with a dark blue top. I'm sure someone thought it was a good idea.
I think having the Lamborghini, Ferrari, and Bentley dealers all up here in Roswell makes this the Bermuda triangle of nice cars. I feel like I need an Enzo to get a good valet spot. Although the 355 at least keeps me in the front.
Truly? I've seen nine in Atlanta in a span of four months. They're very (relatively) common. With that said, the Gallardo Spyder is a car that took me forever to see for the first time. It debuted in Spring 2006 and it wasn't until April 21, 2007 that I finally saw my first one. However, since then, I've seen twelve, including those nine in Atlanta. EDIT: my final Atlanta spots of 2007 came today: first, a legitimate Mercedes Geländewagen - an older diesel, two-door, soft-top version on Gwinnett plates. Interesting vehicle - from the looks of it, probably a mid-1980s model. Also, a white Rolls-Royce Phantom on South Carolina plates at Lenox Mall's Nieman-Marcus valet. I've seen that car several times in Atlanta including frequently in the driveway of a Buckhead mansion. I'm already back home in Denver, Colorado, but I'm looking forward to spotting some more of Atlanta's exotics this Spring!
I have to agree with the other guys. I have seen a lot of them and I certainly see more of them than 355/360 spiders.
(at lenox) white maserati executive gt quattroporte, blue executive quattroporte, sl 65 amg, and this afternoon about 3 hours ago an incredible testarossa. anyone on here?
Yeah living in the North Georgia area I'm still looking forward to seeing an Audi R8 (should have seen one by now) and Bugatti Veyron (I've heard there is one in the Kennesaw area) in the flesh. As for a Gallardo Spyder, there is a green one in my area driven by a super-nice gentleman who owns a set of hot tub stores.
Alright, I know that it is not a competition but I win the spot of the day! I just spotted a BMW X6 testing in Atlanta. I was driving down Peachtree and saw a profile that I wasn't used to and looked and saw the dang thing going north so I did a U-turn right in front on Piedmont Hospital and caught up to the guy. Turns out it was a very nice couple visiting their family in Atlanta. If anyone else wants to see the car, they are staying at the Intercon in Buckhead. They are a very approachable couple. When they parked the car, we pulled right up next to them and he invited us to take a look. We talked for a while and we swapped stories about testing pre-released cars. I will post pictures later (probably Sunday)
i know that you will probably not read this for a while...but are they stayng overnight, or is to late to go see it? thanks.
I spotted a silver Ferrari last weekend in Loganville with Walton tags. I must appologize that I could not ID it and after looking around it may have been a 612? Not sure and didn't want to crash looking at it while I was turning the same way he was. JDP
Lenox-7:00 tonight Yellow Lamborghini Gallardo(Select Luxury tags) Maroon Rolls-Royce Phantom-same one ddemuro spotted- Silver Bentley GT with 24" rims
Well, i went by the intercontinental on our way to church, and the new bimmer x6 wasn't there...#@$@%^...just kidding. The usual Rolls was there,no exotics at lenox but two bentleys at phipps and one of them was a GOLD flysing spur... i think its called CHampagne, not sure though. The other bentley was a GT and it was a weird bright blue. Also, Hennesy Rolls Royce has 3 rolls in the showroom.
Oh, and, guys. I have no idea what i was thinking when i said i have never seen a gallardo spyder in atlanta. Theres a black one at my school, and i see either an orange or yellow one about once a month.
The first time I saw that car was mid-March, and it had California plates. I then saw it a month later and it had local tags. I haven't seen it since, but it's nice to know it's still around. The 512TR wheels threw me off at first - I was really hoping it was a 512TR, as I've never seen one, but it's "just" a Testarossa. Still a welcome sight! I must confess I don't take down counties of my sightings, but I can't recall having seen any Ferraris out of Walton County. I'm sure there have been a few. I have seen a silver 612 in Atlanta, but it had California plates. Surprising that the X6 is being driven around the city - WJC: how did it look? I'm not thrilled based on the images thus far.
I really liked the car. I didn't like the profile but EVERYTHING else about the car I loved! Here is the link to the thread I started in the 'Off-topic section': http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?p=137327433#post137327433 I will try to bring my camera along more but I don't go hunting, I just see stuff while driving.
SO LUCCCKKKKKKYYYY!!!!! One of my favorite cars...was it silver with orange decals and rear-view mirrors? If its not than that's news that i didn't know Atlanta had another one.
