Hey guys. I have a photoshoot coming up with a Ford GT in early spring. The owner and I are having a hard time deciding where to have it. Does anybody know where (in your opinion) is the most scenic place in the Chicagoland area. (suburbs count) He said he wants lots of nature and greens. Just wondering what you guys come up with.
    Happy Holidays,
    Daniel

The Morton Arboretum would be an excellent place. It is located out in the burbs (Downers Grove or Lisle?). Follow I-88 west to Rt-53.

What about Graue Mill in Oak Brook? Turn of the century stone grinding mill located in forest preserve next to salt creek. Also known as Fullersburg Woods.

If you're looking for nature, I'd go to Barrington: Lots of mansions with the white fences for horses and the horses.

But what is the point of that? I mean you find lovely countrysides all over the US. How about some Chicago landmarks? You can easily do a photo shoot around Soldier field or Wrigley stadium. With some aid you can do it even downtown, like in front of the Wrigley building or along the river. How about one of the harbors, Montrose would be easy enough. Or in front of a great sky scraper, Swissotel comes to mind. Or Buckingham fountain and the Pritzker Pavillion.

If you want to do something in the city, let me know. I'll be glad to help you.

Dowtown has those very lugubre looking alleys with trash and walls in all different color that would look awesome as a background for a supercar . Very contrasting .

    Great idea Andrew!

In english the word is lugubrious. Just a note, so those that don't know French know what you're talking about.

    No, I'm not trying to be a smart-ass! :D

I agree. Also the streets beneath the El like e.g. Wells are pretty unique looking and creating that juxta position effect. As seen for instance in the Blue Brothers.

Add in a shower of sparks and that should be rather unique.

There are some nice areas around Wilmette, Winnetka, etc for good scenery.

Mt Emblem cemetary in Elmhurst. Beautiful grounds and a well preserved large windmill.
