there are two versions of the original testarossa coming out from kyosho in 1/18...1st stage and 2nd stage. what's the difference? i wasn't aware of this distinction in real life. any clarity will be appreciated.

I'd assume they mean the changes that occured like the one high mirror becoming two lower ones. And a few other detail changes that Ferrari made. Kinda surprised Kyosho is going to go through the trouble of making both versions. Pretty cool that they are though!

i don't know when it's coming out, but i saw it as a preorder item on replicarz.com

SSNISTR, that could be the difference, but the model description listed both as 1984 models. we'll have to wait and see!

Also the early cars had a center bolt looking cap on their wheels and later they had a simple looking 5bolt wheels.I don't find it odd for Kyosho to do this as it is basically same way with the F40 light weight. Just different wheels and minor details. They also went through the trouble of making 3 different berlinetta boxers with just minor detail differences. This is what separates them from crappy companies like Hot Wheels.

I'm gonna buy the first stage. I prefer the center bolt wheels and one high mirror.

I think I'll get both, just in two different colors. I heard that they would release it in white. The Testarossa is probably the only Ferrari ever that looks great in any color, so I think that white would be a good choice for it. Then the other version of course would be in red so it matches the rest of my collection.
