Did it have NY tags? There wasn't a CS with black wheels on the Turkey run that I recall, but there was at a smaller run shortly after. Nice guy, too.

edit: On second thought, I do recall that car at the Turkey run as well.

Minor detail, the location is completely wrong. It happened on the street in Oceanside Long Island. No where near the LIE.

It is a board member from here. I also saw this on another forum first and they were *******s about it. But then again there are haters everywhere.

I guess these pics are making the way around the internet.

Sad to see that, hope the driver (and passenger if so) is alright.

I expected the pictures to show up here sooner or later.

Yes, it's JoeZ's car. Very unfortunate that it happened.
Visited him at the hospital 2 days ago. He's ok and in good spirits, even though there are a number of bones broken.
He's going home from the hospital today or tomorrow and already started the search for a yellow CS.

Yes, those pictures were first posted on ls1gto forum and those guys were not being nice there at all.
Here's the thread if anyone is interested to read...

Doesn't look like that terrible of an impact, the door was probably yanked off by the firedept because it wouldn't open to extract the driver. Glad your back home, sorry to hear about your injuries. Any details to how it happened?

Joe, glad to hear you're ok. Sorry to hear about your car.

Several of those guys at LS1GTO are assh*les. "You deserved it if you were speeding"? Oh yea, because all of those GTO owners drive their cars on the track/drag strip and never speed on public roads.

It really was not that bad. I hit a patch of ice and just glided into a bus. The fire department did a great job getting me out. I was well aware through the whole accident and never lost consciousness. They had to do some cutting to the car to get the door off, but other than that I am just very happy I was ok.

Once again, I cannot thank all of our fellow f-chatters for their support. I read what other jealous idiots on these other forums are saying and cannot understand it. I would only post replies showing my concerns and support, but these morons think it is funny. I would love to see if it was one of them or one of their family members!!

    Thanks again to everyone.

Glad your OK. It didn't look that bad to me, probably only cost about 35-40k to repair (even with ferraris marked up parts costs)

Dont worry about internet posts, they are never worth arguing over or paying much attention to. You know what happened you can learn from it and go on your way. Have a Happy New Year, let me know if you need a body shop to turn that car around for you.

Thank you. Unfortunately the car is totaled because of some vital points that were cut to get me out. I have started the search for a yellow CS. I will probably have one hell of a time finding one, especially in yellow.

Thank god you're okay! That looked probably a lot worse than it was. A car is replaceable, your life is not!

Joe... Glad to hear that you're OK. It could have been much worse, and the fact that you're home so soon means you're on the way to a speedy recovery.

Why? It's not about Lamborghinis, window tinting, "what do I do when I visit new york?", fighting with mods or other non-Ferrari content.

Glad to hear that the driver is gonna be ok. Get well soon and good luck with the new CS search!
