I'm currently doing my homework trying to decide what I am going to buy. My price range is 20-35K. I plan on buying a high quality driver.( no show cars for me) I will pay on the high side of my price range for what ever model I decide on based on condition and how far away it will be for me to do a major. If it is immediate need like it's been 5 years I would immediately discount 4-5K off of my top price knowing that I will take it right to my mechanic within the first couple weeks so I know it's done. I actualy invision buying a car with 40-60K on the clock happy that it has been used. My fist choice is a 308 or 328. Growing up in the 80's whn I think Ferrari I think Magnum 308. When I think Shelby I invision cobra. I think camaro I invision 68/69ss/ I hear Cuda I think early 70's e body. My point is I think I will get a 308/328 because thats the iconic model to me for Ferrari and as my generation continues to get older we'll buy what we always wanted as a kid, just as the baby boomers are doing now and prices for quality examples should rise.

    GTS steel body.
    Carb. 28-35K
    2v 25-30K
    Qv-25-35K
    328 30-35K

GT4 $18-25K (like it's classic looks, low numbers and the back seat in case I can ever talk the wife into going with me and the boy.)

Mondial Cab. 25-35K (hey, always will look at a rag top.)

I only plan to drive clubs events, country roads and mostly enjoy the Ferrari experience. So performance is not as important to me as experiance and reliabilty.

Just sharing my thoughts as a soon-to-be buyer and my mind set. Again I'm doing my homework and may fall in love with something that I just must have and then emotions may take over.

Don't kid yourself, a decent driver GT4 will run you 23k+, under that will be a fixer/project car.

    Original MSRP: $23,875

Low Retail Average Retail Value High Retail
    $20,700+ $24,600+ $33,200+

Note the "Average" price, is what I would equate to the "driver" status car.

    Cheers!

I agree with that. 23K sounds right based on current service status. Exterior/Interior condition. ( not perfect but no big scratches or torn seats, capet good.) As long as car was in good mechanics and service within 3 years and 10,000 miles I would pay more in the 25K area. If major was just done, seats perfect and suspension, brakes and electrical all done by a active Fchatter who really took care of the car I would pay upwards of 28K. 30K if car shows a good full respray within last few years.

Like your car, I've seen it and even in the dark I would say yours is above average driver status and warrents a higher price than average.
