In 2002, the now previous owner of the MonteCarlo specialty cars sales shop in the 'other harbour of Monaco', quoted 1.4 or 1.7 million french franc's for a Modena-based 288 GTO, .. If you see a quote for a Danish registration 288 GTO, it will be higher (I don't know if any exists..), since here in Denmark, the Social Democrat nanny state has decided, that 120%/180% registration taxes will have to be paid to the government, and additionally, 20/25% sales tax (called 'moms', like I.VA/VAT) calculated on top of the (x 1.20/x 1.80 + 1.00) i.e. around 3 times total the same car's price in for instance Germany,,...

Those taxes are ridiculous, I know. I was surprised when I saw so many Danish registered Ferrari's at a Gentlemen Racing Club (GRC) meet at Knutstorp Ring (Sweden) recently after discussing the tax situation in Denmark with a friend. At that time, Sweden's car taxes suddenly seemed tolerable
