Just daydreaming for now... Amanda is Pregnant with our second, and I seldom get to drive the F40 so... I might want to get a high end daily driver...

    Requirements:

4 seats. Back seats MUST accomodate child seats and small adults (women)... (i.e., 911 turbo/DB9 out/Jag XKR all out)
If used, Must be under 2 years old and under 19K miles.

    Leading contenders:

    Bentley Cont GT 2005-2006
    BMW M5
    BMW M6
    MB 550S-class
    Maserati GT

    Anything else I should consider?

I'd go for a Maser QP. The rear seat access in a 2 door is a real pain, especially cantilevering a small child into a car seat. The 4 door looks great, drives well, and has class. All for around $85k for a good used one.

The MB S600 is right under 150k. I'd suggest at least taking a look at that.

Personally, I would go straight for the M5. I went for a ride with my neighbor is his M5 a while ago and it was beyond impressive. I've never felt such acceleration and handling in a 4005lb. car. If that isn't what you're looking for, then I guess there's the M6, but that isn't exactly that best looking car in history. The rear looks like is has some kind of growth on it...

Tempting, but everytime I looked at it, I'd wish I had a Maser GT... that's why I left it off the list. As for getting the kids in and out of the back seat, it is a concern...

Should have made the list. Thanks. I'd rather have it than an M6...

Are you purposely staying away from SUVs? If not, perhaps a Range Rover, Cayenne Turbo, etc? Congrats on kiddo 2 :)

With a budget like that I don't imagine it'd be too difficult to find something :)

    Congrats on the baby!

Not sure I can get a 2y/o arnage less than 150K. also it's a bit stuffy for my taste. Bentley cont gt is high on the list though.

If you buy an S600 you might want to consider taking 100,000 one dollar bills and burning them in a bucket so at least you'll be warm..... :)

Want something a bit more exclusive.

Correct, No SUV's. I should have put it in the rules...

I have a problem with the AMG S-classes. I find the base car not sporty enoough to warrant the extra power. If I go S-Class, I'd go S550...

456 is too old at this point... and really shouldn't drive a ferrari to the office. No way I can get a 2 y/o 612 or azure under $150K with less than 20K miles.

If you can wait until June, would a Nissan GTR fit the criteria?

Aren't Maybach's quickly headed to that level? You would even have a built in fridge for the formula

    Ah I missed those criteria.

Bentley CGT or Flying Spur then.

I suspect the GTR's back seat is pretty tight, but frankly I love my G35, and I wouldn't trade it for the GTR (plus the extra $$$).

4 y/o maybach 57's can be had about 160-170K's. haven't seen one at 150K. certainly not at my max age of 2y/o... (2005/6 or newer

    M5 or S63/65 any day.

They're large, comfortable, and a blast to drive! especially the M5. Personally, I would never trust a Maser QP with my children in the back seat because I've heard that they might sound good, but are not reliable and have numerous problems.

Forget the S600/550 etc, you will enjoy the AMG a lot more. You can find a used S65 AMG for a lot cheaper, then if you bought new.

Why such stringent criteria on the age?

Audi. I think the whole line is under $150K. Upscale but not in an in-your-face Rolls/Bentley way.

    S8? S5?

I'd wait on BMW to fix their styling before going there. Just looking at that 6 Series photo above is making me queasy.

RS4, RS4 Cab and S5 are all nice. S5 is 1/3 the budget too.
