From Jess Pourret's book 250 GT a photo of 2165GT. Does anyone have more old or new photos from this car. I need for restoration purpose detailed photos of the sliding windows and catch mechanism. Thank you. Alwin [email protected] Image Unavailable, Please Login
You are right Aardy: Ferrari doesn't dump much but can you imagine this old fashioned bodywork (0236) reappearing after 1960 ? And what about the rolling chassis of #19 in the back?
Where do you see a rolling chassis ?? I only see a 1958 Scaglietti body. In 1960, the chassis was already with its new 1959 Fantuzzi body...

Of course I meant the chassis that is not on the photo but was with the bodywork in 1958. The Fantuzzi rebodied 0746 didn't appear until Nassau 1960. My question is: What happend to that chassis until then ?
There are well-known pictures of 0746 (this time complete with chassis) stored in the factory. Probably the car stayed there long time before someone thought that the frame could be updated with new Fantuzzi body and sold...
thank you. found it already myself by searching google. Maybe ferrarichatters can scan the swb articles from cavallino magazine 25 and 26 for me. Alwin [email protected]

Thank you for the photo Cyril. I see on some photos of 2141, 2129 and 2009 also have sliding windows. Maybe Boudewijn has some photos of these cars? 2179 which I restored did not had the system all its racing life, but when new it also had the sliding window system. GTO's and Drogos did have sliding windows but without the locking system. Alwin Hietbrink www.hietbrink.com
First 2141GT, then 2129GT showing the sliding window, finally 2009GT. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
