Joe, You really are a walking encyclopedia when it comes to these beautiful machines; truly astonishing! Can you tell me if your "Flieslow" car was ever located in Canada? Or is there another car with similar Red/Gold scheme that was ever located here (perhaps as recently as a few years back)? Thanks!
Thats a fairly well-known Belgian P400S. It weighs a lot less than the Superleggera on the truck... circa 2,600lbs actually. Joe www.joesackey.com

What a beautiful perspective. I'm so glad the car is finally going to be turned into what it really is, THE Miura Roadster and will shed that gawd awful crap thats been hanging on it for so long. It will also be a candidate for "The Biggest Loser" weight wise that is.....the car will probably shed a few hundred pounds in the process. Cheers to the brilliant new owner!!!!!
Joe: Did Gary show you the original color? Groovy me thinks. It will be quite the surprise if finished in it (and I very, very much hope it is). Alberto
Note the P400/S hood with SV headlamp surround fairing... thanks for posting. Same car again... Joe www.joesackey.com Image Unavailable, Please Login
He is an amazing engineer. He was on the Miura production team at Sant Agata and he worked on the production line from 1967 to 1973, spanning the ENTIRE Miura production. He and I have no doubt he participated in the build of our Miura SV "4884" in 1971, and now here he is 37 years later maintaining it. Now THATS way cool.... Joe www.joesackey.com
............may want to look away now!!! Anyone looking for a miura with original paintwork? Please tell me the car is known & has been returned to the fold. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Looks like it's meant to carry 4 auxiliary driving lights, like a rally car... could this have been someone's road rally racer?
Its on page 3 of this thread in post number 52. The owner's widow will not sell and thats all I can say now. Joe www.joeasackey.com
Yes and I have been over there trying to get her to marry me, that has not worked either!! D A M.........
Roy you really must up your game (or lower your age group). She has to be 70 at least Her main concern is: "Where will the cats sleep then?"... Joe www.joesackey.com
Pretty in pink? I used to work/live next door to the guy who owns/owned this when he was a very young man staying in grotty northern england - if I remember rightly he or his brothers had quite a thing for maserati at the time and from what I recall they were rather better taken care of than the miura. Fond of exotics from an early age - still it does help when dad runs his own country. I used to park my Morris marina next to it - that was a car you could hear rust. bax Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Please enlighten us with specific information because I do not beleive that Miura SV 5062 ever resided in Northern England or anywhere in England for that matter, at any point in its life... Exactly who was running his own country? Joe www.joesackey.com
Some of the younger members of the Al-Thani rulling family of Qatar (for reasons too bizzarre to go into) lived in Durham City England during 1981 and 82. I never saw a miura parked in our communal underground carpark - I parked my morris next to the mazzers. bax
