For parking, uptown can't be beat. Plus, people are used to seeing exotics in the area, so it won't attract much attention. (yeah right)

 

if we do uptown, is there a venue that has a patio or has a section that is very visible to the parking lot?
also what time are we thinking? lunch? afternoon? morning?

Whichever you prefer (I love sushi but knowing you Texas guys you probably won't go for bait.. lol), I would suggest calling ahead for a reservation, explaining the group and requesting a block of parking spots. The nicer restaurants would probably be glad to have a gaggle of exotics parked in front and should not have a problem with it.

Another venue - Hotel Granduca behind Uptown Park (http://www.granducahouston.com, they have parking in front of the hotel and they have some dining options: http://www.granducahouston.com/diningareas.htm. We've stayed there on my husband's birthday and the hotel is very nice, old-world-Italian ambiance.

 

I think time of day and order of operation will have a factor on where we ultimately go. Meet, drive, bar/restaurant...............other way around. There's always less traffic on the road early in the morning on weekends, but............Ro, I think it's your call since you brought it up.

If we meet then drive I might bring the kids with me depending if the little lady works that day. My little one is always asking "Is dat a Perrari?" Now I'll be able to tell him "Yes, yes it is" Unless he's looking at Ro and Kevins Lambos.

I think morning is a good way to go, as long as I get my coffee first. Memorial/Allen Prkwy is dead in the morning.

 

why dont we meet at your starbucks there on w gray for a cinnamon mocha decaf caf venti half cap cappacuino on ice with cream and a whisper of mint, then go for a quick drive to a lunch destination

If you guys do the cruise in the morning and sit down somewhere for lunch I can meet up. I am eating lunch with my girlfriend who will be at the boat show so if you all choose uptown park that would be right around the corner. Anyway I will keep looking on here to see where you all will be at.

OK, here is the plan ladies and gentlemen... lets meet at Wylie's Starbucks at 10am Saturday morning. It is at Sheperd and W. Gray. We can all hang out there for a bit and drink $20 coffees and shoot the ****. Then we can all decide on where would be a good place to drive for a lunch. Once we decide, we can call ahead of time to see if they can reserve some spots... sound like a plan?

Just fyi, there are two Starbucks on the corner, and we are meeting at the one on the south side of the street, the non-drive through store.

 

Red 308GTB has a minor oil leak, not too bad at present, just a wisp as it hits the exhaust.
