No one is trying to hide anything but I would not believe anything anyone says unless it comes from the mouth of alex himself and he is not here to say yeh or na about the situation nor has he looked at the car yet, but I can tell you that the car in no way shape or form was damaged from the belt coming off and the engine was running fine. The car is basically set up like any other AMG S/C car. I can tell you that with the AMG 55 engines running around the street that many have blown thier S/C belts without the engines blowing up or having any damage. I persoanlly owned a E55 that had the belt blow off and it was 100% stock. Engine was fine.

as you state in post #36

I'm not here to start an arguement with you. If the guys here like listening to your BS thats fine with me but when I see something that I KNOW is BS and the person in question can't post to tell the truth I'm not going to sit back and just let it go.

Is this NOT the exact thing that happens with me on L-Power...I am not allowed to post responses there......just have to listen to the BS un founded stories...like I said prior KARMA KARMA KARMA

UMMMMMMMMMMMM The pot calling the kettle black.........

No. As the car is located in America and the average american weighs 523 lbs and drinks from 64 oz cups BMW cupholders should be able to take that. :)

    Only you can answer that.

After all it was not the manufactures fault, it was your friends fault...why did he not pay to replace it.

WHAT if someone came into your business and did this AND you ate the cost, is that right. Just because it is a BIG CORPORATION does not mean that someone does not pay for it...

So if you bought a Murcie from me, and a wekk latter your fat friend breaks the seat adjustment knob while getting in the passanger seat....you would think it is right for me to replace and pay for it? Of course you would NOT tell me it broke from your fat friend, just that it broke and I would go by your word and replace it, taking away from my profits.. SAME THING IMO

I guess it comes down to what you think is and is not right...

The reason you are not allowed to post responses there is because of your mis representation of various cars (not all ) on your website, and LP is there to help new members steer clear of what might not otherwise have been a good car to buy. After numorous problems I guess the admin decided it was time for you to go. You had an answer for every question and every answer was questionable based on the info LP had exposed on certain vehicles. Now you know as well I do that on the wholesale side of this business things are uglier than on the retail side. Knowing that, I would have thought you would try to help make things more clear for everyone. Instead it turned into a he said she said , but I didn't know about it kinda deal. This creates a smoky atmosphere and where there is smoke there is usally fire. I think you know a thing or two about Fire if I'm not mistaken

This in no way has anything to do with Allan's SLR and you coming in here to try and discredit him with all this info you seem to have just makes you look even worse than you already did on LP. Allan is part of an internet forum, what he does outside of that for living has no impact on the car forums and he never wanted to "TAKE YOU DOWN". he just had solid concrete info on certain cars that you failed to disclose and then you tried to say you didn't know. Well after a dozen times of saying you didn't know it sounds like the boy who cried wolf. YOU, are in the business of selling cars and me knowing the same things you do about the busniess tells me that what you were doing was creating smoke. Fortunatly for me I don't make money selling cars but I know all there is to know based on me having a license and how things work and so do a lot of the other guys overthere. LP has exposed what wholesalers don't want retail buyers to know and you got caught with your pants down several times.

Yes I believe it has an aftermarket non-MB pulley

    Yep, he did

Don't know or want to plant a seed that it may be something serious? How could your sources not know? Allan said it failed because the torque specs were wrong and the pulley came loose. Thats about as big a deal as getting a flat tire. Saying "I dont know why it failed" IMO plants the seed that it could have been something serious. You're not saying it but you're implying it - an old car dealer trick "just because I didn't SAY the car had been wrecked doesn't mean it wasn't" or "I said 'AS FAR AS I KNOW' there is no damage, I didnt know about that damage!".

SLR's are $300k+ cars. If I sent my $300k car to a shop to have it tuned and it had a problem right away, you can be sure I would have that sucker on it's way back like right now. Why would he let someone else touch his car when the guy who built it gives him great service and he has no reason to go to someone else. Its not like the cost of transport is a factor nor was not having the car - its a toy, not a daily driver. I don't think he knew what the problem was when it first happened... engine loses power - you freak out and shut it down, then get it towed home. Then you call the shop and they say "send it back, we will take care of it", so you do. Turns out it was something simple. Why would anyone take their $300k car to some local wrench in that scenario? No way - I'd go back to the source, wouldn't anyone?

Again you imply that it must have been something more than it was - you didn't SAY it but you implied it. If you "don't know" as you say, why imply it must be more serious, if not to just get back at Allan?

Yes, of course... but you said above that the motor siezed, remember?

I thought you were not a mechanic? So how can you make such a bold statement? Do you KNOW this to be true, or are you taking a GUESS? You are making a real bold statement to say his engine is damaged, Roy, especially when you admittedly know nothing about mechanicals.

Again, you KNOW this, you are GUESSING this, or you were TOLD this? Which is it?

Sounds like a string of BS put together to try to take a shot at Allan and his car. You say the engine is damaged (it is not) and will have to come out (it won't), then say that MB doesn't sell parts to other shops so the fact that SP will do the work means MB is going to be defrauded on the deal. Again a very bold claim Roy - hope you got some back-up on that!

Well you are TRYING your best to ensure it does cost Allan some money.

What about if you list the price high - the price of a perfect car - then "forget" to tell the buyer that the car had been wrecked and hacked back together with kit-car parts but still with a premium price. Then you "discover" that the car really was trashed (after you sold it twice in 3 months and had it come back), then re-list it (without disclosing the damage) and then "remember" all the damage after pictures of the car before it was fixed get posted on another site?

Is that the kind of price-reflective repairs you're talking about?

wow that sucks. im no fan of allan lambo as we all know but that **** sucks. i did a kleeman pully upgrade on my sl55 back in the day and the thing sucked it jerked due to the pulley. its one thing to have a sl55 enngine repaired but a 350k slr is another story. i dont know whos at fault but i have never been a fan of the kleeman stuff. are there pics, cant be that bad, just change out the pully arm and crank, or worse case senario, just machine a new one. its not a brain buster, its another thing if the story went kaboom. its just a car.
