It looks like my next project will be in Beijing and Seoul.
I'll be visiting China for the first time. I was in Seoul back in '89; I can only imagine how much it has changed since.
I will be traveling back and forth (from the States) for the next several months.

As a Ferrari lover (and overall auto enthusiast), what should I go see/do? Any advice will be appreciated.

    Thanks

    Hi Nick
You will be suprised how much Seoul has changed since 1980ies.
Unfortunately official ferrari dealer in Seoul has been closed due to the violation of contract with ferrari.
The new dealer has been selected and will be opening up soon.
Who knows they may open when you are coming to seoul.

Seoul has good amount of exotics to be spotted.
Let me know if you wanna know something particular about Seoul.

I saw one Ferrari during my 1 week in Beijing... a red/tan 512TR parked in front of the Sheraton.

I'm in Seoul now. My cousin tells me he sees an F430 and an F40 running together from time to time.

If i'm correct, this is the very first ferrari set foot in China, original owner operated a big clothing manufacturing factory.

Well it's my last night in Korea. Believe it or not, i have not taken advantage of the nightlife at all. i've been stuck in Daegu for the most part. I'm flying up to Seoul today and planning on partying my ass off. Where should I stay? I'm currently booked at the Ritz-Carlton only because I recognize the name but I have no clue if it's even in an "happening" area. Can anyone give me any suggestions? Thanks

no, the first one should be a 348GTB or GTS when they first open up the dealership in BJ in 89 or 90, it was reported on HK media

Interesting. I would have guessed that the first fcar in China would have been in Shenzhen, Dongguan or Guangzhau as the Pearl River area opened up most quickly and initial wealth was in that area

It probably was, but the first 'reported' fcar from the media could've been in BJ. I can't imagine the treatment that car got back then. People poking it with a stick and all....

I live in GZ and see fcars all the time. They remind me that I really am not stuck in the dark ages here.
