Check ytour spyware and firewall settings, if it was at a commercial business, the site might be blocked by some over eager computer tech.

Same thing happen to me before as well, when i went on F Chat it said "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage, but it was back and running the next day.
You should also check your security in internet option's, thats all i can think off... Let the more experienced guys tell you what you can do to get it working again.

Infected indeed. Do you watch where you are going? Or just get those free ipods and free porn too?

    step one - Firefox: mozilla.com
step two - spybot search and destroy from safter-networking
step three - adaware from lavasoft

clean clean clean, when you think it is clean, it probably isn't. scan some more.

Not unless you manually went through your computer. I had to go through my niece's computer twice because she downloaded Limewire.

    Remember, nothing is free.

Just because you are using torrent sites does not mean you are virus/spyware/malware free. Even if you have a trusty antivirus or antispyware app, there is no telling what might be happening with your system. The malware/botware developers move and modify their code to adapt to the virus applications far quicker than the public realizes. But the torrent sites you are visiting, they might have ads or you could have just visited a site with internet explorer and been infected with something that is causing this issue. It could be that... it could very well be that.

    Same issue with Firefox?
