Awesome! I have a 2" x 12" x 10' that I beveled the edges on that I lay in the deepest part of the dip just before the road and it does the trick, but kind of a PITA to haul that thing out every time.

This may sound like a stupid question, but are you going to have any issues with the town or homeowners association for making the change? I wanted to do this to a drive where I used to live, but the town told me that the only way they would allow curbing modifications was if they conformed to their specifications, or I could prove the need through disability. (Lady down the street had hers done due to a handicapped van with very low clearance) So I was out of luck.

Worst case scenario, you can always fall back on the "easier to ask forgiveness than permission" caveat... :) looks good.

Nice if you can get away with it. I tried it at my old house and the issue was i was changing the flow of rain/snow drainage. I offered to put a small pipe in to keep the water flowing but it was still rejected. So.....when i moved, i actually measured the curb height and made sure i could clear it before i made the offer. The realtor thought it was hilarious when i said i had to be sure before the offer was made.

Fantastic. Now you can drive the car on the road, not just on the driveway! :)

    Have fun :) Be careful

The one thing good about this city is there are no HOA's.
Hey, at least there's one good thing about this place ;)

There was supposed to be a slight gap in the gutter area or a pipe in the concrete, but it appears they forgot both. Probably one too many beers before they started.

I literally lay a carpet piece over my driveway every time I take the 348 out. The front underside still scrapes on the carpet but doesn't leave any scratches. I sometimes cheat and sneak out over my neighbours driveway which is more user friendly.

Nah - we get along fine. I sought his permission beforehand. I wouldn't do something like that without asking.

Too many busy-bodies, and they all say the same thing: do nothing in life.

That's why so few people are rich in a nation that makes getting rich a piece of cake.
