I am installing the rear quarter lights on my GT and am not sure about how the front of the window is sealed. Parts book shows a seal (#16, Tav 111) but I think it is some generic foam seal. Does anyone who has restored a coupe remember how the leading edge of the quarter window is sealed?

I just installed my quarter windows about 2 weeks ago on my "L" . I used a butyl tape. It can be purchased at any glass or mirror shop. Its clean & easy to work with and non-hardening.

#14 is no longer available. This is a rubber strip that seals the bottom of the glass. Dino Parts DE sells a calking in its place. This can also be bought from the glass & mirror supplier, I bought mine from the local auto parts store. It’s made by 3M and is used to seal windshields in place.
