My '06 430 battery is dead. My fault - I was traveling for a month and it wasn't on the trickle charger. What are my options for a non-oem battery that will actually fit well?

thanks in advance. (I did search the threads but could not find a specific brand/model recommendation).

Try the Odessay 925 it requires some alteration to the hold down posts but is a lighter and far superior battery

Specifically the Odessey PC925T with terminal posts. See www.odysseybatteries.com

The Odyssey is much smaller than the OEM battery, so the retaining bar sits much lower than the short threads on the hooks. Use a stack of washers under the nuts as a thick spacer.

Yes, Odessey is better but also the Optima won't fit.
