Those pics are anterior to orange livery (there's not Schumi's tag on the front hood) ;)

That last pic of MS's car is outstanding!
I believe we have seen estimates on maybe this thread of 240 mph but I am not sure

I don't think its 240. There are different aero packs and I'm sure the fastest one doesn't go any higher than 225.

There is a lot to take into account to predict the FXX's top speed!

It's always a balance between downforce / drag and top speed - downforce improves traction and cornering speed, but the associated drag reduces top speed. Tyres and tyre pressures are also very important.

What I can say is that in the FXX Programme, on the faster circuits with 800-1000m straights (eg. Spa, Monza, Shanghai), the car very easily gets up to 200mph. Whether you can extrapolate a "top speed" from that, I don't know, but obviously significantly higher than an Enzo, and the car has a much better power/weight ratio than the Veyron..........

It would be nice to run it down the Mulsanne, where I think that it would probably perform somewhere close to an LMP1 car!

What I mean concerning the #21 is : since Monza's Finali Mondiali, do any of you have pictures of it, because I thought it was nowadays "red" again without the orange stickers.
    Do U understand me now ? :D

Rick, do you have any candid pictures of your FXX... Boot lid up, fueling, interior shots... Some more random stuff for those who have seen the millions of exterior shots. Thanks!

If I remember correctly your LM team runs the DBR9, how does the FXX compare to the DBR9? I know the FXX is a prototype but can you provide any comparison between the FXX and the DBR9 or any other racer in Le Mans.

I sent you a pm a while back, I'm wondering if you recieved it and if you could reply back I'd greatly appreciate it.

I think its a camera (so you can see whats next to your car).
At the Ferrari Racing Days 2006 in Germany was an accident with 2 FXX (only minor damage, your 2nd pic could be from that accident) when they drove side by side into a corner. I guess both didn't realy know that there was another car next to them. One of those FXX has now side mirros like Bareithers FXX has.

Well, no. I don't believe the blue device is a camara to see what's next to you. With the EVO update they DO get camara's working like digital mirrors. The blue bit must be to time the laps or to send info to the pits. Talking about that, i just remember that the EVO pack also includes an antenna on top of the roof. Maybe that's for a better connection with the pits. But it doesn't replace the metal strip (antenna?) that you see on the bottom of the windscreen, because that strip is still seen on the EVO car.

Oh, and the 2nd pic of post #865 shows Remo Ferri's car (#8). It is probally the incident that you descriped.

The blue device is the transponder for the lap times!

Most appreciated, RTB. Can't wait for an upcoming thread called: 'FXX Evo "World Tour"!!!

But i still have this question about the purpose of the 'metal strips' in the bottom section of the FXX windscreens? It's clearly in sight but even so never questioned as far as i know.

Heating strips to prevent windscreen fogging. My DBR9 has the same.

Does anyone know how the numbers were distributed on the cars??? I noticed on the Registry that the car numbers dont match up with the serial numbers. For example, Rik has the number 24, but according to the registry his FXX is the twelveth car based on serial number. Does anyone know the answer to this? Is the car number just the number the owner decided to put on the side or some other explanation?

    Hello people,

Just wondering if there are any new photo's or facts out yet of the Evo FXX or any FXX for that matter. Perhaps new whereabouts, spottings and such. They didn't race them just yet, but it will happen again. Can't wait to see some new pics!

Oh, and to answer Alex's question: As far as i know they (the cars/owners) just received a racing number at random. No real logic behind it. That explains also why you see cars running around with a race number 33, 35 and 38, eventhough Ferrari says there are only 30 made.
A personal sidenote: that number of 30 FXX's does NOT include 1 or 2 factory testcars (just a thought: 1 perhaps matte black?????). And the Evo FXX that was shown last year must have been one of those testcars, right?

    Greetings.
