Yes, it was a very good Christmas. The boys each got a 1:8 RC Ferrari. Lots of fun! :)

OK, here is the big secret. As many know I had a Mercedes CLK Black Series on order for some time. My car arived a month early and was delivered Nov 30. This thing is amazing. Incredible HP and torque. The gearbox is pretty cool in that you can put it into a manual mode like an F1 (just a bit slower) or leave it in an automatic mode. The auto mode is great. It senses driving style and seems to always be in the right gear at all times, especially when driven hard on challenging roads. The car looks really mean and aggressive. Pictures do not do the car justice.

I was then presented with a wonderful opportunity. I got a call from chrisparrenzo a couple of days before Christmas that a Challenge Stradale that I have lusted over for many years was available. Yes, the timing was terrible, but I had to have this car!!!! With the help of many folk, most notably the owner, Chris and the folks at Motorcars (ie Randy McCall), I was able to move my Fiorano and put the deal together. So now I also have a Stradale!! I couldn't be more pleased.

Chris was nice enough to drive the Stradale down to me on Friday. The only thing he asked in "return" was that I go down to Eureka Springs with him for a day or two to work on some stuff for Crescent Classic. Well, we hopped in the Black Series (I needed to put some miles on the car to get it out of its break in period) and drove down to Eureka and had a great weekend. Thus far, Chris has put more miles on these two cars than I have!! We drove the route we will be using for the big drive day. All I will say is SHEEEEAAAAAT!!!!! Chris and cbr600rr have done a lot of research and have come up with an absolutely amazing route!!!

Brian, I would love to get together for a pre-Crescent. Chris and I will be going back to Eureka in a month or two and would love to have you along. Let's see if we can get Doug to actually drive one of his cars too. I know it is a long shot, but we can always hope!!

Just awesome. You did good man!

I'll be down the springfield way in March any chance of a ride in the Stradale? Weather permitting?

Very, very nice. I'm happy to have been a part! (The boring paperwork part, but still...) Pretty wild when you think back to the Ferrari 328 GTS that started it all!

Speaking of cars, V, I thought I remembered you owning a couple cars too... :)

I thought I remembered those days as well...however, it's been so long since I've seen those cars, I've officially taken them off of my profile : )

Oh, that's wrong!! Hey, at least the gaskets we needed finally arrived from Italy. Oh, and your Porsche bicycle is still up on the motorcycle lift in detail... maybe that's worth a photo!

    V,

You just need to come back and work with us. You have to admit the roads are better and we could have the highest percentage per capita of exotics in the country!!!!!

    GREAT CARS and good choices!
Since you brought two cars last year, should we expect to see both of these this year? I certainly hope so!
Just let me know when you guys are heading back to Eureka, I would be more than happy to tag along and help with anything that I can. Anything for a good excuse for a roadtrip! I will try to get Doug to pry a car out as well.

    Brian,

I am sure that both cars will be appearing. However, I will have to keep the keys to these cars from Chris. I may even bring the Porsche again if I still have it! Will let you know when we go back.
