Offered for sale on Ebay for $64K - 07/2007----So you know the dealer paid less than that for it-----that should give you some bagaining room since they are asking $66K

The guys up there at Rt. 202 are pretty good. I looked at a 355 up there a couple years ago before I got mine. Went up and test drove it. The owner then became very pushy and turned me off. They also would not come down of the price to make it worth buying since it needed a major. But the salesman and staff were very heplful and courteous...

The wheels are wrong, they may be 456 wheels

They look like speedline wheels I've seen on a few cars. Don't know if they are real speedlines or not, but not 456 wheels.

I'd use the wheels as bargaining since they are not original

That car has the wrong wheels and from the pictures the front hood looks completely out of alignment. You know what that means.

Why would a car have the wrong wheels? You know what that means.

I considered this car. I talked to the general manager there and he really didn't have a clue as to the car's history. I think this one was an auction car, but I cannot be sure.

Basically what I am trying to say is that for me, too many yellow flags were raised, and so I moved on.

I told Mike I personally passed on that car because:

    1) The guys wouldn't nego with me at all over the phone.
    2) The body panels on the front didn't seem to line up.
    3) When I asked about the dash, I could pickup in the salesman's voice that it wasn't up to snuff.
    4) I asked for service records and none were provided.

That was probably four/five months ago.

    Those are 550 wheels.
I believe the issue with the bonnet is the front hinges... they are adjustable and set too high, and can be easily lowered.
It appears that if the hinges were adjusted down, the whole bonnet would sit properly.
The question is, why doesnt the dealer adjust it? seems like foolish lazyness... and its obviously turning buyers off!

It also really looks like the whole front of the car is rasied up really high!

They are not 550 wheels IMO. If you look at the pictures carefully, the spokes are concave on this car, they are not on 550. Here is a pic of 550 wheels:

I can't seem to find the website at the moment, but the wheels on this car have been sold by the same guy that sells the 348 round tail light replacement (rayswheels)

Eric, as far as I know, there are actually 4 different styles of wheels that came on the 550... There are 2 18" 1-piece types, 1 18" modular, and 1 19" 1-peice. I'm pretty sure this is the other of the 18" 1-piece styles.
But hey, you could be right, as i'm not 100% positive.

Interesting info. I thought 550 wheels would not bolt on to a 355 without some serious issues, but like you say, I'm not 100% positive either.

BTW, to get back to the topic of this car, there was a car like this one with the same exact wheels forsale in long island while I was doing my search back in april at a similar price point. I managed to track down the service history on that car and it had some definite issues that I can't remember but a huge warning sign.

That car sold at Manheim in the spring for around 52k. It is rough. I would avoid it for another.

...and just because it said 30k done doesn't mean that it isn't in need of another.

The tires are incorrect on that car. The width is too narrow, and the profile 'pulls' away from the rim.

    Look carefully.
