...Is it as straightforward as it looks? When I unscrew the two nuts holding the tail lamp in, the lamp doesn't want to come out? I don't want to force it and risk breaking anything. Do I need to remove the rear panel first or do I just pull a little on the lens a little harder & wiggle? Thanks in advance for any advice!

You have to remove the rear grill or trim panel as the lights are larger than the holes in the panel, this is pretty easy. There is a trim piece which holds the top of the grill to the compartment opening, there are a few screws on the top and two rivits on the underside. You will need to drill out the rivits, just use a small drill bit and take your time so that you do not drill the rivit hole larger of damage the car.

Also, which I forgot to mention, in the first set of pics, there are a couple of nuts hidden behind the trim piece holding the grill in place.

I guess I need to wait until I have a little more time for the project.

The bubbeling in the taillights is 'aused by the reverse light being too close to the plastic. Since you're repalcing the taillight assem I highly suggest LED replacement bulbs, just as bright without worry of future damage...if you get the correct bulb it is a direct replacement.

How different are the LED bulbs from the stock ones ? Anyone have night pics...I was thinking of replacing mine, they're too faded.

Kinda bluish...I did mine. They are also not quite as bright as the stock bulbs, but close enough... and no more risk of melting tail lights.

I would recommend the 24 led 1157 from here:
http://www.superbrightleds.com/specs/1157-x24.htm These have the advantage of side mounted leds to help fill out the reflector with light and offer more even illumination than having all forward mounted leds.

Here is my thread with pictures of the 15 led version with side mounted leds.

So you think the 24 bulb version will stay cool enough to not adversely affect the lens materials? I just want to make sure my new lenses don't deform in any way and don't get discolored. Thanks, Judd

I believe so. But my advice is worth exactly what you are paying for it. ;)

Amazing reverse lights ! So no heat or circuit problems so far ? My outer lights have gone crazy ! The right is twice as strong as the left. Could it be more than just a bulb issue ? Any upgraded bulbs, something like the LEDs for the outer lights?

I would check that all of the bulbs are good and they are the same type/rating etc.

The LED reverse lights should not change the outers.

Agree with Cinemagic, the tail lamps have two bulbs in each one. Your left outer tail lamp has the bulb out on the inside (right side). Often times it is just a matter of cleaning up the terminals. But with age, the bulbs little nipples can wear and melt down from the current. Fresh bulbs should fix it up.
