Grand touring is no more.... it's DEW now and IIRC they are no longer doing outside work. Just maintaining a few very notable collections. Now having said that, they used to use a guy in Upper Marlboro named Charlie Schmitt I believe. I had a number.... I'll see if I can find it.

Interesting. Are there that many "notable collections" in the area that that sized shop can sustain with the doors closed? Enquiring minds want to know...

I asked the same question when Chuck announced that this was the direction he was going in about a year ago. Apparently there are..... One of them (Marriott) opened his doors for all to see last year.... another (Dupont) is part owner in DEW.

It was a tough business decision for Chuck to go private. But with Marriot and duPont and several other notable collectors, he has plenty of incredible cars in the shop to keep them busy.

As far as the leather question. call Jamie at Car Care Custom 301.588.6706. He does the leather work for Competizione and several other shops. He's been at that location for over 20 years and does top notch work.

    regards

    ken

If you don't mind a drive, or shipping it out, Futurline in Exton, PA did a FANTASTIC job on my Dino dash for about 1/2 of what I expected to pay.

They are about 30 minutes north of the Delaware border just off route 202.

    Turned out PERFECT!.

    Futureline Auto Tops
    301 S Pottstown Pike

    Ask for Mark.
