I can inform it cause I sat behind the wheel.
It is right that the #1120022 was bought by me in Germany. Black, widened and bewinged. I turned it back to it´s original guise, painted it "argento luna" and drove it for a couple of years. Once I tried to go sideways but apperently wasn´t skilled enough and touched the barrier beside the road. I sold the car to Gino at Ross AB who got a new right front wing and now has it back on the road. It is a nice car and very good to drive with those special seats.
Having sold the silver one I bought 1120142 which I played with at the Ross Meeting on the racing circuit "Falkenberg" and regained my selfconfidence. It is now resting in the garage waiting for a back to metal repaint job and will be on the road again this spring.

    Lars-Erik,

Thanks for the information regarding #1120022. Your current car #1120142 was preowned by a Volvo design engineer - is that correct?

No, not a designer, but he used to work as logistic director at Volvo. He bought the LP400 in America in 1987.

Thanks, I knew that he had a high position at Volvo. I'm not sure, but I think I read that in an article about the LP400 published in the web some years ago. Regarding that article, my memory is weak... I remembered that he was a designer but this was wrong.

Lars-Erik, thanks for the information and the pics, very appreciated. I just love your old #1120022, god to hear she back on the road again. So Gino still owns it, i thougt it belonged to the Kaufthooft collection.

I beleive he must have been the buyer of the car at Barret-Jackson in 1988. The car was auction at Barret-Jackson in 1998

    It's curious!

I'm a good friend of Paratelli, because he works in the same little town (near Ferrara, Italy) where I live. Nice to understand that his fantastic work is well known here. If Bruno has your seats in this moment, I can take some photos for you and post them here.

    Let me know!
    Ciao

That's an easy one, that's cannonball #1121112 with the front wing, the situation when they drive back to overspray the speed limit sign.

The car belonged to a doctor (or was purchased from) when it was used for the movie and was bought off the set by Ron Rice the founder of Hawaiian Tropic. To the best of my knowledge Ron still has the car however I am told it is in need of restoration.

BTW why is a 400s being discussed in the LP400 thread. Joe I think you are loosing your touch :)

Audi's complete lack of interest in the history of Lamborghini and consequent unwillingness to spend money on it.

I would refer to it as apathy - they just dont care, or are just downright lazy. Like the 7 years its taken them to install the correct passenger-side front wheel on the SV... dont hold your breath, its not done yet :)
