I has to chuckle to myself about the inclusion, further down that webpage of the three images captioned:

    "2002 Four Stroke Bugatti Atlantic-03.jpg"
    "2002 Four Stroke Bugatti Atlantic-04.jpg"
    "2002 Four Stroke Bugatti Atlantic-05.jpg"

Forgetting the very realistic Argentinian-built 'Pur Sang' replicas (which might fool the experts), it seems that said 'Bugatti expert' has problems differentiating between 'concept kit cars' and the real deal.

The car in question is a French kit car made by a company named '4Stroke' called the 'Rumen'.

    See: http://photos.automobiles.free.fr/technicalstudio_1.html and http://www.4stroke-design.com/ :D

    Hi Paul, :)

That site, has so many faults that it is almost unbelieveable.....LOL... on this site too, I have now seen, for the first time in my life, a Type 35 B with the exhaust pipes on the right side of the car........I wonder how they managed to build that exhaust???........or perhaps this would be the fastest backwards going Bugatti of all times!!! :D

PS. Not all "Bugatti experts" are fooled by the Argentinian built "Pur-Sang Bugattis" which is usually easily spotted by me!! ;) :)

    Best

    Carsten

The black kind of loses its awesomeness when the rims can't be seen, imo.

But, nice pictures. I've never seen that room in Symbolic.

Well actually Casten, after I'd made that post, I went and looked at the main root directory.
Despite the odd obvious mistake, there is one heckuva lot of work gone into that site (mis-informed or not).
However, that one was such a 'humdinger', I felt I had to have a poke at it. LOL !! :D

In case you were wondering how I knew about the '4-Stroke Rumen' already  ....
See this page: http://photos.automobiles.free.fr/technicalstudio_1.html .... and scroll down -
I was researching the 'SEFAP PF3' P4 replica a few frames further down, at the time I stumbled across it. ;)

Each to their own, Karsten. ;)
My only personal experience of 'Pur Sang' was when I made contact with Andres, over 3 years ago, in my efforts to track down an aluminium-bodied P4 replica, built in Argentina (see this thread: http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=35351 )
He was quite helpful, IIRC. :)

Having said that, I've probably (unwittingly) seen a few of his replicas at Prescott hillclimbs (I try to attend at least twice a year).
That apart, I also live in the UK heartland of fake Bugatti production - literally halfway between Ashton Keynes and Basset Down. :D
I'm sure you're familiar with some of the Bugatti reproductions they have built for Tom Wheatcroft and others. ;)

Probably the best known being: http://www.vintagecarrestorations.com/akvmain4.htm

Hats of for the huge work that have gone into the site!! ;) Next, they realy should try to correct their numeruos mistakes and wrong pictures! ;) :)

Andrès Butta is a very helpful and nice guy, I've met him a couple of times during some of our excursions in Europe (Retromobile in Paris for example) Some of my Bugatti drawings are hanging in their office in Argentina BTW!
I've seen a lot of the cars produced by Pur-Sang and actually they are very nice cars, although not quite original Bugattis!
Their Aluminium wheels/rims is usually a dead "give away" and many cars are easily spotted by the wheels!
I've been a member of the BOC for a number of years, but actually I was never at Prescott myself......as of yet that is! Hope to go there sometime soon! :)
I am familiar with the cars of Tom Wheatcroft, especially his "Replica Coupé Napoleon Bugatti Royale"

    Best regards

    Carsten
