Are all concept cars going to be worth at least 1m as the guys at Barrett think?

I liked some aspects of the car but not particularly fond of its looks overall which may have held it back a bit??

 

Is it interesting to anyone else that when it's clear they want a car to go higher (you see them all taking the mic and squeezing wallets), the auctioneer is holding out letting the floor workers really pound on the bidders, and it always seems like an 'internet bid' comes along on the 2-count right before the hammer falls.

It's happened a few times now. I would think the internet bidders would be the most prepared, and any last-minute emotion bids would be coming from the crowd, not from guys online who needed an extra 2 minutes to get their instant equity line approval done

What was the end result of the situation before where the bid was 525k, then there was a bid at 550k, then a 575k bid that turned out to be an 'error' and the 525k guy was told he won, and nobody could find the 550k bidder (who presumably didnt exist)? How did that play out?

Hard to say. I think it's a function of how famous it is, how beautiful it is, what the underlying car is but one of one's definitely have value. I wonder what a one of one Pininfarina/Ferrari show car might be worth...

After that Oldsmobile contraption hit 3m. two??? years ago, I thought for certain it would hit 2m. easy. Some of it's design elements remind me of the 64-68 Nissan Sylvia Coupe with a touch of Avanti/Dual Ghia in the backlight and rear end treatment. Very pretty car.

 

Anyone know what the G ended up going for?

Have not read all pages of this as I am wireless now leaving, but it looked to me like there are still guys getting good money for the real cars. 69 Z28 brought 130K, 70 Boss 302 Mustang @ 115.
My favorite muscle car deal is a 58 big brake fulie Vette and a 2008 matching color Z06 being sold as a pair because they have matching production numbers. Have they shown thoses on Speed? Would like to know the price if anyone knows.
Spent Fri @ BJ, and Sat at Russo and Steele. RS has all the Ferraris, and overall nicer car average, better professional buying atmosphere. Wow cars in every stall.
