Its crap like this that make me think is it even worth it. ****s who feel that people like Demo need to prove something. And then you get comments like this by Vasco on another thread:

"Of course you have nothing to prove. But when you come on a public forum (a Ferrari forum) and claim to find a significant Ferrari in an old garage what do you expect? Then you abandon the thread and dissapear. Do you think that is fair? Of course people will think you are full of it."

Demo proved the car existed by showing photos of the car, and him with the car. Yet people gave him a hard time and he decided not to respond. I dont blame him to be honest, but Demo if you are reading this lets meet up next time you are in Jeddah.

For all the patient fans, here are pictures from the weekend. Or at least it will follow in a little bit.

Before anybody asks, its not for sale. The owner has decided to keep it and it will not be for sale at any price. There is an electrical problem with the car which is being worked on (in between other jobs) so the car is in pieces at the moment. Other than that it ran perfectly fine and the garage fired it up and drove it round the block every so often. The car has been with the garage for about 10 years.

Apart from being dusty, the car is actually in OK condition. Nothing looked broken (apart from being dismantled) and none of the body was damaged. For all those wondering how someone could leave a car like this in this condition, well it comes down to th owner. He is extremely wealthy, and lives a very busy life, most of it outside the Kingdom. Many of you assumed oil prince, but thats not the case. He has said to the garage not to sell the car now, but has not indicated when or if he will be collecting it. But, its not for sale. Shame really as like most of you I was looking to snap it up!

Thanks for posting those pictures! I hate seeing an F40, or any Ferrari for that matter, in that condition. At least there are plans to fix it.

I also don't get why people got so worked up about Demo not posting up newer pictures or updates. Some people take the internet a little more seriously than others, lol. Thanks again for the photos and update on it.

Thanks guys. FWIW I spoke to Demo for the first time this evening and there are two reasons why he didnt post back. Firstly because as he stated before he doesnt live in the city where the car is. So it was a flight away. Secondly some people on here pi$$ed him off, so he probably wasnt exactly bothered to carry it on.

Back to the thread. Having looked at the car I reckon at least $140K would be needed to put it all right. The fuel cells for starters and then a complete mechanical overhaul/rebuild would be needed. Not to mention the obvious paint job. But the car was a genuine low miler and if you look at the alloys it still has the blue stickers on it! Surely one of the lowest mile F40s on the planet?

Hi Cowboy, when I first answered in this thread I was excited as most were. But it quickly looked like a scam. Glad these pictures were posted.

And Modificata, I was just speaking on behalf of a few im sure. Thanks for posting more pics and info. This thread is good again. Oh and "This Vasco" is greatful :). If you feel you need to go on then scroll this thread. You may be here a while because there were a few other "haters" that may need a lesson aside from me. You must understand when someone makes a thread about finding a holy grail of Ferrari on a Ferrari forum then dissapears you would wonder too. But as I said thanks for the pics...

Thank you for posting the pictures. I've noticed the odo reads 594 km while the daytrip meter reads 688 km?
And the blue stickers/dots talked about on the thread, what is their purpose? I've seen stickers (albeit red ones) on the rims of other cars/models before.

Neat pics, thank you for posting. Its seems wonderful and strange at the same time, to find an F40 in "barn find" condition....I'm looking forward to cleaned up/refurbished pics, this is an intriguing story !

    Thanks Modificata !

Now thats very interesting! I never noticed that before.

From what I know the blue stickers are put on at the factory, kinda like a new sticker. Usually doesnt stay on for long.

    Ruf MD. No problem.

it may just be me, but the corrosion on various bits don't tell the story of being a low mileage car... still a very cool find, and thanks for the photos :)

Youre welcome Demo. See you soon
Jeddah is quite humid in the summer. Only rains once or twice a year though.

For your information the naysayers in this thread (myself included) said the car could not be had for the money the original poster suggested. Nobody never said the car never exsisted.

As you can tell, someone came up with the goods on this car.......and ITS NOT FOR SALE

I was addressing those out there that had given up hope on this car existing. I knew the car could never be had for 30k or else there would be 10 thousand FChat members in Saudi Arabia right now.

This is a really great thread. Amazing to think this is almost a barnfind. Some people would give there soul for what you found. Yes i know people have always known about it and what not but an F40 with about 500km wow!

I'm really happy to hear that this is real I didn't doubt it wasn't but it got alittle suspicious with demo not responding.

I can't imagine what this could fetch if cleaned up and the owner decided to sell it.

big red ,,, u dont have to explain ,,, its ur right not to belive whatever u want ,,, and if u go back to the thread i said that i'll try to get the car for about 30k

i did say that its either gonna go for 30k or its not for sale not even for a 1mm ,,, i know these kind of people ,,, i said 30k coz its around 100,000 SAR which sounds good if u know what i mean

anyway that was a story that i lived ,,, wanted 2 enjoy it with u guys ,,, i dont own the f40 ,,, weather i has 500km or 5000000 ,,, i dont care ,,, i just belive its did not do more than 1000 max ,,, i never saw the car on the streets ,,, the car has been in that garage for 10 years now ,,, and i know how those people drive these cars ,,, they dont use them ,,,

am not blaming any1 who didnot belive me ,,, its fine with me ,,,

BUT AM SURE ALOT OF PEOPLE DID ENJOY THE STORY REGARDLESS IF I MANAGE TO BUY THE CAR OR NOT

I HAVE A NEW BARN FIND BUT NOT SURE IF I SHOULD POST :)

wish u all a very nice day from SAUDI ARABIA
